Goodbye!

And just like that, it's over.

Thanks for your company tonight. A bit of a thrillier, may I say, to get the Premier League weekend underway.

Fair play to Forest, who look very good. They are fifth. Leicester, meanwhile, will get better.

I will point you again to one of our main stories as I leave, which is that Manchester United have been speaking to potential managers...

Click below for more on that. Thanks again, and I'll catch you next time!

Wood: 'I rely on service from my team-mates'

I wouldn't be anything without my team. I'm not one to take on four players and out one in the top corner. I rely on service from my team-mates.
It's about accumulating points. We aren't thinking about league position. There were no strong words at half time, he just wanted to tweak a few things and needed consistency.
Sometimes you don't need to look as a striker and that's what I've done. You know where the six-yard box is and you try and know where you are at all times and get in on target at least.

Tom Collomosse's take

Click below for Tom's take from the ground this evening.

Derby delight for Forest, but it's deeper than that. They could achieve something speial this seasin with the way they're performing.

And for Chris Wood? Wow. Now Forest's all-time leading Premier League scorer and 18 in 25 games under Nuno.

Maybe he'll catch Haaland...

21:00

'They were far superior in all areas'

Jamie Carragher, Sky Sports:

Leicester were really good in possession but it's no doubt who the top team was in that second half. They were far superior in all areas of the game.
Another deserved win and fifth in the league -  a brilliant start to the season.

Gary Neville, Sky Sports:

It's an amazing start for Forest. They have had some challenging seasons and you look at what they're doing now.
They were poor in that first half. We're only nine gmes in but you have to enjoy football and to be fifth in the league - they have had some difficult times.
20:55, 97'

FULL-TIME: Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Milenkovic is the latest man in the book. That's eight players.

And that is all for the game. A huge roar from the away end. There aren't too many home fans left but those who remain boo loudly.

Forest go fifth ahead of the rest of the weekend's games. Leicester fail to win three in a row, but they will have easier games this season, as poor as they've been tonight.

20:53, 95'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

A free kick to Leicester in a dangerous area as Aina fouls. A goal here and you never know...

Nope. And then Soumare is booked for stopping a counter.

To answer the question about Forest's system, by the way, I don't know the answer. It seems a bit of a free for all and maybe that's why it's been so open since the changes.

20:48, 91'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Leicester are struggling now as the ground begins to empty. Williams drives wide and another cross is narrowly cleared after that.

A yellow now for Ayew.

Forest fans, meanwhile, are chanting Steve Cooper's name. I'd be fuming if I was a Leicester fan.

Yates hits the post but he was offide anyway.

Seven minutes added on.

20:42, 85'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Awoniyi is now being serenaded by the Forest fans as Wood gets his foot wrapped on the sidelines.

Leicester are still giving it a good go here but it's not working. Forest are in their element now.

'That looks to me like a top 10 Premier League team,' Jamie Carragher has just said of Forest on Sky. They are currently fifth.

20:39, 82'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Dominguez's prize for returning to the field is a yellow card for taking down Soumare as he breaks.

Forest are in their shape now.

Now Wood makes way. A few boos, but I think they're from the home fans. Awoniyi is the man who replaces him.

20:35, 78'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Sky have just cut to Nuno on the phone with Dominguez down injured. I'm assuming he's passing down instructions on how to fix that puzzle there.

Hudson-Odoi is the first man to make way. Elanga too. Jots and Sosa are on, so I guess Dominguez is fine.

He looks in a lot of pain as he trots back on. He'll live I'm sure.

20:32, 75'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

A couple of changes for Forest now. Williams replaces Moreno and Morato takes Anderson's place.

Sels has been given that assist on FPL, by the way. A sensational subplot.

All the noise is coming fron the away end. I'm going to have 'Chris Wood's on fire' stuck in my head for the rest of the night.

Winks with a Leicester forner. headed away by Murillo.

Ndidi makes way for Forest. Soumare on.

20:29, 71'

GREAT CHANCE! Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

Leicester are pushing now but Sels gathers a cross with ease before a free kick is given anyway.

Some subs now. Ayew and El Khannouss replace Mavididi and Pereira. We'll have to see what that means for the system.

Yates has just missed an absolute sitter. The ball falls to him just yards out from a corner and he somehow blazes over!

20:21, 63'

Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest

It's a long ball from Sels (FPL assist anyone?) and Faes is nowhere near it.

He can't deal with it and neither can Hermansen, who half comes out but is a bit in no man's land. Wood absolutely bullies Faes and gets to the ball first before heading over the goalkeeper.

That's 3-1 to Forest and it's a long way back for Leicester now.

Goal:Leicester 1-3 Nottingham Forest (Wood 61)

Harry Winks is next into the book for a pull on Aina. Big fan of him.

AND I AM A BIG FAN OF CHRIS WOOD! HE IS ON FIRE!

20:14, 57'

OFF THE POST! Leicester 1-2 Nottingham Forest

Nuno has only just got back to his seat in the press box. No idea where he's been.

Anderson's effort is blocked now. And it;'s off the post! Hudson-Odoi curls one, Hermansen is beaten, but it's off the post and back into play. Anderson puts the follow up wide.

All Forest now.

20:10, 52'

PENALTY APPEAL! Leicester 1-2 Nottingham Forest

Chants of 'Chrissy Wood' and 'You're not singing anymore' are coming from the away end now. Time will tell if they can make this one stick.

Oooooh, penalty appeal. Milenkovic is chasing Vardy, who is played in by Mavididi. A little pull perhaps, and the veteran goes down. No penalty, and VAR agrees.

20:07, 49'

Leicester 1-2 Nottingham Forest

For all the love for Fatawu last week, he has been quite frankly awful today.

He and Winks get in a mix up and Forest win it high up. Anderson plays Wood, who has his back to goal. He turns Okoli, who should do better, and fires into the bottom corner.

Form. Of. His. Life.

20:05, 48'

Goal:Leicester 1-2 Nottingham Forest (Wood 48')

An early yellow card for Mavidid for pulling back Aina.

Nervy from Leicester so far. Anderson wins the ball back in the final third and passes to Wood.

Who turns... and scores!

20:03, 46'

SECOND HALF: Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Hermansen is my substitute goalkeeper in FPL this week, for those of you that care.

Anyway, we're back underway for the second half. No changes from either side - personnel wise, at least.

19:58

'Leicester would be behind without Hermansen'

Leicester have played the more progressive football here but they look vulnerable to the counter-attack.
Without some stunning stuff from Mads Hermansen, the home side would be behind now and all their fine approach work would have counted for little.

Man United hold secret manager talks

I'd just like to point you in the direction of one of our main stories on the site this evening.

Chris Wheeler has shared a story that details how Manchester United have held secret talks with a number of managers as they seemingly debate ditching Erik ten Hag.

They of course stuck with the Dutchman in the summer, but it seems a decision to switch could be on the agenda soon.

You can read the full story below:

19:54

All square in Leicestershire

An enjoyable and even half.

Both captains have netted with Ryan Yates opening the scoring from distance before Jamie Vardy finished off on the back of some neat work from Harry Winks.

Forest have looked the more likely but it has been quite end-to-end and Nuno will not like that. He'll be making his way down from the press box to the changing room now.

More goals in it, I would wager.

19:47, 47'

HALF-TIME: Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Leicester give the ball away in their own third to the groans of their supporters.

Hudson-Odoi finds Wood - who has been quiet today - but his tame effort is blocked.

Vardy then has a sniff at the other end but it is just a sniff indeed.

That's your lot for this half, which ends with a Mavididi effort going wide.

19:45

Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Forest are happy to let Leicester have the ball and they look comfortable when they do. But on the counter, it's a different story. Moreno goes into the book for bringing down Fatawu. Wouldn't want to play most of the game with that.

Vardy has small chance in the box but he can't get the ball out his feet.

Two minutes added on.

19:40, 41'

Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

A fantastic ball down the right finds Buonanotte, who plays a low pass into the middle of the area.

That's cleared, but another cross goes in and Aina has to head out for a corner.

Winks crosses. There are one or two penalty appeals. But it eventually goes out for a goal kick. Shout have been a corner.

19:38, 38'

CHANCE! Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

Pereira goes into the book for bringing down Elanga about 35 yards from goal. He's struggled a bit in his first taste of action this season.

Elanga himself is going to shoot.. he does, and it's into the wall.

The attack continues through Hudson-Odoi and he shoot from distance. Hermansen saves again.

19:32, 33'

Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

There are absolutely more goals in this.

Forest are creating chances at will and Leicester do look a bit all at sea but the quality hasn't been there to take the chances so far.

Leicester look threatening too. Elanga wants a free kick as he tries to run through but Justin does well.

19:26, 27'

WHAT A SAVE! Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

WHAT A SAVE!

It should be 2-1 to Forest! A corner is won by Murillo and it falls to Dominguez at the back post, who is in absolute acres.

He really should score. He's about a yard out. But Hermansen, from nowhere, flies out and blocks it. He's mobbed by his team-mates. Some save.

19:24, 25'

Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest

There's a huuuuuge gap in the Forest midfield and Harry Winks drives forward and follows his pass.

He follows it all the way to the left wing and put a cross in. Who's on the end of it? Jamie Vardy, who gets between Milenkovic and Murillo to equalise.

As you were. And there goes my FPL clean sheet.

Goal:Leicester 1-1 Nottingham Forest (Vardy 23')

Forest have their tails up now.

Elanga runs at Pereira and tries to stand the ball up to the back post but no one is there.

All the noise is coming from that away end.

Hold on - there's the equaliser!

19:20, 20'

Leicester 0-1 Nottingham Forest

On the overall basis of play, I'd say Forest deserve to be ahead.

It's poor from Leicester. They fail to clear the corner - Buonanotte decides to try and dribble out and loses the ball. Justin's clearance is poor too - and Yates shoots from distance.

Hermansen should probably do better. But he doesn't and Forest are ahead. Ryan Yates, he is one of their own. So the fans sing.

19:17, 17'

Goal:Leicester 0-1 Nottingham Forest (Yates 17')

Both sides are feeling each other out, to be honest. It's a very even game so far.

I feel as though there's a clear game plan for Leicester to get Fatawu and Mavidid one-on-one with their full backs. So far Aina and Moreno are winning those battles.

A Forest corner now. It comes out to Yates... GOAL!

19:12, 12'

Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

A bit of possession now for Leicester. Buonanotte picks up the ball in a central area and runs at goal but his effort is deflected.

A bit of pinball from the corner but Forest eventually clear.

Good build-up though after that and the period of play ends with a header wide from Ndidi.

19:06, 7'

Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

Nuno is in the press box tonight, Sky have just shown. He's serving the second of a three-match touchline ban after being set off against Brighton.

Moreno wins a corner for Forest, who have enjoyed the better of play so far. Elanga gets a frosty reception as he goes over to take it.

Okoli clears on this occasion with Milenkovic on the floor.

19:04, 4'

Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

An early foul by Pereira on Hudson-Odoi gives Forest the chance to put the ball in the area, looking for the likes of Wood and Milenkovic.

Elanga whips it in and it just about goes all the way through. Claims that it took a touch of Justin, who is in at left back with Pereira in the squad for the first time this season, fall on empty ears.

Leicester are looking to play out with the Portuguese playing an inverted role.

19:00, 1'

KICK OFF: Leicester 0-0 Nottingham Forest

The Leicester fithful are loud and proud.

18:56

'Bold from Cooper'

That is a bold team selection from Cooper. Two orthodox wingers, two full-backs who like to get forward, and Harry Winks in midfield.
Ndidi is the only natural ‘destroyer’ in there for Leicester and he needs to have a good game.
18:55

Here come the teams!

Right then!

The time for talking is done. The teams are on their ways out at the King Power Stadium.

We will be underway in a matter of moments.

The next round of the Premier League is upon us.

Getting warm in Leicester

Well, most of the photos in our system are taken up by Jamie Carragher in a massive Robin Hood suit, but among that there are some warm-up pictures.

We have around 15 minutes to go until kick off. It's a cold one - about 14 dgegrees but set to drop to 12 - so the gloves are out.

18:40

Fatawu dazzling the King Power

I mentioned Fatawu earlier, and there's good reason.

It only took a brief scan of Match of the Day to see how he impacted the game at Southampton. But watching the game, he truly was the game changer.

He came on, hit the bar, and set up Facundo Buonanotte for his side's first goal. The 20-year-old is a very, very exciting winger.

Tom has written a little bit more on him. And you can read that below:

18:31

Carragher gives the visitors the early advantage

Word on the street is that the mascot battle between these two teams is just as serious as the rivalry on the field.

There was a little race that took place a few minutes ago. Filbert Fox representing Leicester, Robin Hood for Forest. Robin Hood won the battle, and then revealed himself to be Jamie Carragher!

Apparently he was going up against a personal trainer. Gary Neville revealed after that it was asked if he could go in the Fox costume, but his request was declined.

Cooper: 'All these teams are good enough'

Steve Cooper, Leicester manager, Sky Sports:

They are in a good place with the points return. All these teams are good and tough and threats. Forest will be no different, but going back to us we recognise we are at our best when we focus on what we do.

Jamie Vardy's take

I was scrolling through social media looking for some quotes a little earlier and Leicester have shared this on X. Hot take.

It's probably tongue in cheek, but Jamie Vardy is just funny, isn't he?

He'll be sure to rile up the away fans again tonight. Especially if he scores.

18:14

Looking rosy for the Reds

For Nottingham Forest, things truly are looking better than last season.

They have been rock solid at the back so far and already boast results against Liverpool, Chelsea and Brighton this season.

They are, as I said, looking up rather than down. Nuno has got them settled, and they could go fifth tonight.

Nottingham Forest back in Europe - they couldn't... could they?

18:08

Are Leicester finding form?

Leicester are riding the crest of a wave tonight having got one over on fellow promoted side Southampton last time out.

They had trailed 2-0 but Russell Martin's side (how's he still in a job, by the way?) collapsed and the Foxes scored with almost the last kick of the game to win the game 3-2.

That was their second win of the campaign having beaten Bournemouth away before that, and they're suddenly now looking for three in a row.

18:02

'Gibbs-White may not play before the international break'

No Morgan Gibbs-White in the squad for Forest due to an ankle issue.
Nuno has been cagey about it but I’d be surprised to see Gibbs-White heavily involved this side of the international break. Luckily for Nuno, Elliot Anderson is in flying form.

Cooper faces his old side

This is, indeed, Steve Cooper's old stomping ground. Well, he's at home, but he's facing Forest.

I make this the first time he's taken on his old side since leaving at the end of last year. He took charge of a total of 108 games, taking the club from the relegation zone in the Championship all the way to survival in the Premier League.

He will always be respected at the City Ground, but tonight is about business and getting three points for his team. No hard feelings between himself and Nuno, I'm sure, who has taken Forest to new heights, it seems.

17:52

'Cooper has offered little'

Steve Cooper did a passable impression of Geoffrey Boycott when asked about former club Nottingham Forest this weekend, and he’s offered little more today.
Only two mentions of Forest in his programme notes, and one is the standard ‘Welcome’ from all home managers to their visitors.

17:46

Nottingham Forest Team News - Unchanged

Nuno has, as expected, named an unchanged side from the one that beat Crystal Palace on Monday.

That means Ola Aina and Alex Moreno continue at full back with Elliott Anderson looking to impress again in an attacking area.

The in-form Chris Wood again leads the line. Morgan Gibbs-White misses out again.

17:45

Leicester Team News - Fatawu starts

Abdul Fatawu gets the nod from the start today after his scintilating cameo against Southampton.

He replaces Bilal El Khannouss. Elsewhere, Ricardo Pereira is in for Victor Kristiansen with it looking at though James Justin will switch to left back, and Harry Winks is in for Oliver Skipp.

Feels like a more settled team with a sprinkle of talent in attacking areas. Good stuff.

17:43

It's derby day!

This game is often referred to as the east Midlands derby. And tonight is the 109th meeting between the two teams.

To put it simply, these are the two most successful teams in the region and that's why they hate each other.

There's 22 miles between the two grounds and the last time they faced off was January 2023, when Forest won 2-0 - the year Leicester were relegated.

Anyway, now the history (or maybe geography?) lesson is over, we have some team news on the way.

Where do they stand?

Tonight might not look like the most thrilling of games - it's eighth versus 14th - but these are two teams who are having really intriguing seasons so far.

Forest, after a relegation battle last season, are doing really well under Nuno. They have lost just one of their eight matches and will go fifth with a win, and will feel they can truly start to finally look up rather than down.

Leicester faced an uncertain future after Enzo Maresca left and with a potential points deduction lingering, but that's now settled and, with two wins under their belts, will feel settled.

They have scored in every Premier League game so far this season and face a tough task tonight but will fancy their chances at home.

Oh, and it's a derby.
