Well, the latest twist in the weekend's action came here at Molineux where Harvey Barnes proved the matchwinner with a stunner.

Plenty of character in that Newcastle display as they come from a goal down to take all three points at Molineux.

Two special goals, from Fabian Schar and Harvey Barnes, were the difference in the end, cancelling out Mario Lemina's opener.

WONDER SAVE! Nick Pope is at full stretch as Matt Doherty's long throw drops out of the sky onto the boot of Matheus Cunha.

Meanwhile, I can't stop watching what looks set to be the winning goal.

That should have been game, set and match! Newcastle break quickly on the counter and get numbers forward that Wolves can't deal with.

The ball eventually finds Sandro Tonali in the area but his vicious low drive is well saved by the feet of Sam Johnstone.

Deserves credit there, that's a good save and keeps the game alive.

Harvey Barnes has just produced a moment of magic, easing aside Wolves sub Matt Doherty as he cuts inside and curls into the top corner with his right foot.

It may not light a candle to the Jhon Duran goal yesterday for Aston Villa but that is a stunner from the Toon winger.

It gets a deflection on the way into the top corner but the centre back has just produced an absolute beauty from about 25 yards out to score into the top corner and make it 1-1.

Andre now booked for a late challenge.

Are referees under a directive to brandish yellow cards at every opportunity this season? Crazy high number in games at the moment.

Wolves have had Nelson Semedo booked, while Newcastle have had assistant manager Jason Tindall booked.

It's a brilliant clipped cross from Lemina onto the head of Strand Larsen in the area, but it's saved low by Nick Pope and he's able to scurry it away.

The Wolves No 9 will want that chance again to make amends.

CHANCE! Sam Johnstone is a very lucky boy in the Wolves goal as he gets caught on the ball playing out from the back when closed down by Anthony Gordon.

But it bounces behind before the Newcastle man can retrieve it.

Early sighter from Bruno Guimaraes and now Newcastle are calling for a penalty from the resulting corner after his effort was tipped round the post.

The ball hits the hand of a sliding Craig Dawson following the corner but there's no way that's a penalty. VAR agrees with me, too, so that's something.

But it's been an encouraging start from Newcastle.

Mario Lemina's first goal of the season is the difference between the two teams at Molineux and it is no less than Wolves deserve in truth.

Newcastle showed real frailty on their travels at Bournemouth earlier in the season and look similarly vulnerable here, only for Wolves to not take further advantage.

Newcastle striker Alexander Isak got a pop on the nose just before half-time so it will be one to keep an eye on if he can carry on.

It's all set up for a fascinating second 45 minutes.

Newcastle don't look quite right here.

Andre, the Brazilian midfielder who is making his debut for Wolves today, is impressing but it's Lemina again who races clear and his wayward shot lets Newcastle off the hook from going two-down.

Eddie Howe needs to get his team in without further damage because this isn't working.

Trust Lewis to throw me in at the deep end, just as I settle in Wolves take the lead through captain Mario Lemina and Molineux erupts.

I've had my doubts over Newcastle since the season began and now they are behind here.

More good play from Wolves and the hosts win a corner.

It's all the way throguh to Ait-Nouri who wins another.

It goes short, Cunha crosses, and Andre heads over.

Semedo beats Hall down the left and drags it back to Cunha but his effort is blocked.

A really good run from Bellegarde as he breaks at the back four. The angle though is too tight.

A good period for the game, however.

Frustration from Newcastle as they come forward again but the attack breaks down.

Anyone else feel like this is a bit of a dampner of a game to end the week on?

Oh - Gordon hits the post! He rinses Semedo down the left, then Mosquera and it would have been a great goal. A curled effort hits the outside of the post.

There's quite a subdued atmosphere around the ground now, with the game really yet to burst into life.

A bit of a break in play now as Gordon kicks the ball out so Joelinton can get some treatment after kicking the floor. But he's fine.

Wolves starting to at least come forward a little now, though.

Livramento breaks into midfield and tries to find Isak but his pass is heavy.

The first shot of the game comes from Semendo but Pope gathers as easy as you like.

Pope is then almost caught out with the ball at his feet, but just about gets away with it.

A great run from Isak through the centre of the pitch and he feeds Murphy.

Two defenders are closing him down but he gets a high shot away early. Johnstone saves.

The corner is short and the cross comes in for Hall. A deflection allows Johnstone to gather.

It's Newcastle with the early possession as Eddie Howe and Gary O'Neil somewhat battle it out in the stands in terms of the 'barmy army' chants.

Isak has the first shot of the game, which is blocked by Semedo.

The pattern of the game ahead is already clear.

The away side kick us off after Chris Kavanagh's whistle.

I do wonder if it can live up to events from earlier.

There is a lot to come. We are in good place because performances haven't been totally fluent.

It's a strong bench. We have a very strong squad but we are confident in the group that we can win games. First of all we need to start well and hopefully the bench can make the difference.

Gary O'Neil, Sky Sports:

The break was good in terms of having a lot of new players arrive. I am pleased that the window is shut and we can know where we are. A lot of players went away.

Andre has not been with us much but he is a good kid, intelligent. His English isn't great which isn't too important and he understands what is needed of him.

Wolves have gone for some cool light effect for some of their pre-match photos today.

Not sure why, but it's different I guess.

Quite a big game for them today. They have one point from three games and Aston Villa up next.

Eddie Howe and Newcastle sporting director Paul Mitchell aren't friends right now but Howe continues to go about his work.

It's not great timing for Newcastle with the England job available, but all Howe can do is keep delivering until something changes for him.

It’s been a good start to the season for Eddie Howe and Co. It’s seven points from three, with wins over Southampton and Tottenham and a draw with Bournemouth in there.

Their aspirations will surely be to qualify for Europe again after missing out on it altogether this season. They’re going the right way about it so far.

Just one change for Wolves, with Andre coming into the side in place of Toti. Rayan Ait Nouri is fit enough to start in what looks like a back four again.

For Newcastle, Lewis Hall is back in at left back for Lloyd Kelly, with Fabian Schar back from suspension too, replacing Emile Frafth.

Up front, Jacob Murphy starts on the right, with Anthony Gordon back on the left and Harvey Barnes dropping to the bench.
