Why legendary boxing trainer Jeff Fenech and highly touted Sydney boxer Brock Jarvis reunited after dramatic falling out

  • Pair had a bitter falling out 18 months ago
  • Disagreed over Jarvis' best fighting weight
  • Since reconciled, Jarvis' next bout December 13
  • Fights former Australian champion Adrian Rodriguez

Legendary trainer Jeff Fenech and emerging star Brock Jarvis have patched up their differences ahead of the boxer's next fight on December 13.

The pair previously fell out after disagreeing about Jarvis' best fighting weight - but it now seems all is forgiven ahead of his next bout in Sydney.

Jarvis, 27, will enter the ring against former Australian champion Adrian Rodriguez at Star Casino, where the orthodox fighter will look to improve his career record of 21-1, which includes 19 knockouts.

He last fought on March 8 last year, and Jarvis is looking for four-time world champion Fenech to catapult him to stardom.

'Jeff and I had been talking – it just feels right,' Jarvis told News Corp.

'I want to progress [in my career]. The hunger has always been there – it's actually there more than ever.'

Fenech has always admired Jarvis' work ethic, but stressed he needs to become more defensive-minded to reach new levels.

Meanwhile, Fenech admitted earlier this year he did not react well when his daughter Kayla told him she was in a relationship with an NRL star.

Fenech's daughter Kayla, 28, said her dad 'went apes**t' when she called him to say she was dating Newcastle Knights centre Bradman Best.

'When she rang and told me, I went off the deep end. I gave her a roasting,' he said.

'She kept trying to say, 'Dad, he's a lovely guy'. 'Bradman knew I was angry, but he told Kayla, 'I'll prove your dad wrong' - and he has.'

The couple met on Instagram and Fenech has since moved to Newcastle to be closer to her man.

'He's a good person, very down to earth, and treats me really well,' she added.

'Just an all-round good person with a big heart. 'He's actually perfect.'
