Derek Chisora's next opponent is revealed as boxer only beaten by Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua - as 40-year-old's 49th career fight is confirmed for February 2025

Dereck Chisora will face Otto Wallin at the Co-op Live in Manchester on February 8 as he closes in on his target of reaching 50 fights before retiring.

Chisora's 49th opponent is 34-year-old Swedish southpaw Wallin, whose only two defeats have come against Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.

An emphatic points win over Joe Joyce in July has put Chisora on a two-fight winning run entering the final stage of his career.

The 40-year-old Londoner had been due to face Jarrell Miller only for the American to pull out because of contractual issues with his former promoter Dmitry Salita.

'I've had some amazing nights in Manchester, both in the ring and in the warehouse raves, so it's only right I had one last dance up north,' said Chisora, whose record reads 35 wins and 13 defeats.

'Come February 8th I'm going to be bringing WAR to Wallin. Be ready for my penultimate showreel knockout.'

The 40-year-old Londoner earned an emphatic victory against Joy Joyce at the 02 Arena in July

Wallin returned to the ring in July for the first time since his crushing defeat to Anthony Joshua last December

Wallin made his return to the ring the summer, after a brutal loss to Joshua last December, with a first round knockout of Onoriode Ehwarieme. 

The Swede revealed the extent of the damage suffered against Joshua after confirming he fractured his nose during the bout.

'I have a fracture on my nose, it's not completely broken, but it's fractured,' he told to Boxing News in January.

'I noticed that I was bleeding but when you are in the fight you have so much adrenaline and it was early in the fight. I noticed that it was uncomfortable but I don't think it made a big difference.'
