Shoppers looking to achieve sleek, straight hair from wet in half the time as their usual styling tools are racing to snap up this new two-in-one styling tool from Revlon, calling it ‘very impressive’ and adding that it ‘straightens fantastically’.
The Revlon One-Step Air Straight 2-in-1 Dryer & Air Straightener is a multi-use styling tool that claims to dry and straighten your hair in one for quicker styling and less hair damage - so I put it to the test on my thick, wavy hair.
This clever tool, which costs well under £100, claims to take damp, post-shower hair and make it not just dry, but straight, too, with far less heat damage than your normal straightener and hair dryer.
It features unique air vents on one side and a ceramic, argan oil-infused tourmaline plate with teeth on the other side, working when closed to separate hair into small sections for faster and more even drying and straightening in one.
It took me less than ten minutes to achieve really sleek, shiny and straight hair that was perfectly dry without feeling dried out, and that stayed straight all day long
When straight hair is on the roster, going through each long, arduous step of drying and styling can be timely and tiresome, which is why this new Revlon styler has caught the eyes of many.

But how does it work? The styling tool features unique air vents on one side and a ceramic, argan oil-infused tourmaline plate with teeth on the other side, working when closed to separate hair into small sections for faster and more even drying and straightening in one.
This unique vent design helps to evenly distribute concentrated airflow while maintaining 100 per cent of your hair’s natural moisture, ensuring you’re left with glossier, healthier hair every time you style.
The result? Hair that is straight, dry but not frazzled, styled and shining in half the time and with half the effort of your usual stylers.

The tool features six heat settings that enable you to tailor your styling to suit the wetness, texture and thickness of your hair – four settings for drying and straightening damp hair and two for straightening and adding extra gloss to dry hair.
This means that even if you’re styling from dry, you’re still guaranteed quick, glossy and pin-straight results.
Simple to use and showing great results fast, the Revlon One-Step Air Straight 2-in-1 Dryer & Air Straightener features AirPause™ Technology to make sure styling is quick and efficient.
This technology ensures airflow is only activated when the tong handles are squeezed together, eradicating the need to continuously turn on and off the styler when separating sections.
But what did I think? As someone with little time in the morning to spend styling my hair, I was extremely intrigued when I read that this affordable tool could dry and style at once.
I’ve also got quite thick and wavy hair that tends to take more time (and heat) to get straight – especially when I have to pre-dry my hair with a hairdryer, which leaves it utterly frizzy and excitable.
The separating teeth design also meant that as my hair was being dried and straightened, it was remaining completely tangle-free, too
So, you could say I was a bit sceptical when I sat, hair still damp from the shower, and prepared to give the styler a go. Let’s just say my worries were unnecessary.
With just two swipes over a section of hair, I was left with a piece of hair that was dry and free of kinks and waves, giving me a taste of the speed and efficiency that this tool had to offer.
The styling tool dried my sectioned hair incredibly quickly – I used the High Air setting to get my whole head from damp to dry and pretty straight in about five minutes.
The separating teeth design also meant that as my hair was being dried and straightened, it remained completely tangle-free, too, which I can’t say is a common occurrence when I use my majority of straighteners.
Then, to finish my style off, I switched to the Heated Plates Only setting to get it even straighter with a gorgeously shiny finish.

The whole thing took me no more than ten minutes, and I was left with really sleek, shiny and straight hair that was perfectly dry without feeling dried out, and that stayed straight all day long.
Would I recommend the Revlon One-Step Air Straight 2-in-1 Dryer & Air Straightener? If you’re looking to spend less time, heat and energy on styling your hair then 100 per cent yes.
I’d even recommend it to die-hard, everyday straightener users – the teeth design and argan-oil infused pates meant my hair was silky, straight and tangle-free much quicker than it would've been with my usual straighteners.
It's safe to say I'm hooked and will be retiring my other tools for the time being.
