Schoolboy, 11, dies four days after being hit by a car on his way home from classes
An eleven-year-old boy has died four days after being hit by a car while on his way home from school.
The boy, who hasn't been named, was walking outside King's School in Chester when he collided with a Nissan Qashqai at around 5.12pm on Tuesday November 12.
He was rushed to Alder Hey hospital in Liverpool, more than 20 miles away from the scene.
The boy was treated for serious injuries but died on Saturday morning, Cheshire Police said.
The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman from Wrexham, was uninjured and no arrests have been, the force added.
Police are renewing their appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or caught it on dashcam or CCTV footage.
Cheshire Police said the boy's family are being supported by specialist officers.
Sergeant Russell Sime, of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: 'We understand that this was a distressing incident, and our thoughts remain with the victim's family at this difficult time.'
