An Asian man who posed as a far-right hooligan on Telegram in order to lure the English Defence League into a riots ambush has been jailed for more than two years. Ehsan Hussain used the 'white name' Chris Nolan to go undercover online and lure the EDL into an ambush in Birmingham. Hussain, who is a chef from the city's Pakistani community, posted a series of 'vile' racist messages calling for disorder in areas of the city with a large Muslim population, as riots spread across the country last month. The 25-year-old used the fake name to post in a Telegram group which was set up by the far-right to plot disorder in the wake of the Southport murders. It had more than 12,000 members.

The minister was incandescent. 'What are they trying to do to her?' he raged. 'Why did they send her to London Fashion Week in the middle of this storm over her dresses? They've turned her into a cross between Victoria Beckham and Cruella de Vil.'

Where's the righteous celebrity outrage? The moral indignation? It's been nearly 48 hours since Sean ' Diddy ' Combs was arrested and indicted on charges of sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice. Also alleged in this indictment is his staging of recurrent 'Freak Offs', in which his victims would be drugged and forced to have sex for days on end, left with such severe injuries they needed weeks to recover - crimes stretching back to at least 2009. But what do we hear from an industry that otherwise loves to preach about equity, fairness, inclusion, and the rights and safety of the marginalized and abused? An industry that so proudly pushed #MeToo? Nothing. A disgusting, disturbing, uniform silence.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has made a bizarre promise in the hope of being released on bail following an indictment on sex-trafficking charges. The 54-year-old hip-hop star was arrested on Monday in New York and hopes to be released to his home in Miami Beach.

She was alleged to have failed to report links to Joseph Shaw, a convicted drug dealer who once appeared on Channel 4's First Dates.

Boris Becker has married Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro. The 38-year-old was jailed for life with a minimum term of imprisonment of 27 years after he pleaded guilty to Ms Walsh's murder at the Old Bailey in August 2023. His trial heard that the pair had a 'volatile relationship' and that Taylor was upset about Ms Walsh's latest pregnancy because he had two girls and wanted a boy. Ms Walsh, 28, was almost 23 weeks pregnant at the time of the attack and was found dead in her bedroom by her father Larry Goulding. On Wednesday, appeal judges in London said Taylor's sentence should be reduced to a life sentence with a minimum term of imprisonment of 25 years.

Lebanese scouts were seen lining the streets of Beirut to grieve the death of a young boy who was one of 12 people killed after Israel set out thousands of explosives nestled inside pagers used by Hezbollah militants.  Mohammad Bilal King was just 11 when he was killed by a pager explosion on Tuesday afternoon.  The scout, along with three other party members, including the son of Hezbollah MP Ali Ammar, was buried in the Ghobeiry area of southern Beirut within hours, in line with Islamic burial customs.

The grandmother of the first female soldier killed in combat in Gaza was comforted during the 'hero' 20-year-old paramedic's funeral last night. The Israeli military said four soldiers were killed in southern Gaza and five others were wounded, with three of them in serious condition. One of the four, Staff Sergeant Agam Naim (left), an army paramedic, was the first female soldier to have been killed in combat in Gaza, according to Israeli media. The young soldier has been hailed as a 'true hero' and a 'smiling gem of a soul' in emotional tributes.

And she said a report has been filed after three dogs all got 'agitated' at one location on the A370 bypass. She said she had to wait a week for Avon and Somerset Police to 'consider' the report until they finally said they would follow up.

Kent Police released doorbell camera footage of two men believed to be posing as police in Sevenoaks. The pair, wearing vests similar to those worn by policemen, allegedly approached a property on Kippington Road around 9pm on September 11. They left shortly afterwards. Detectives say the incident is being linked to a previous report of suspicious behaviour in the same road on Friday, August 23.

Mil Veces un Instante (A Thousand Times in an Instant) by Mexican artist Teresa Margolles features 726 faces and weighs a hefty 3.3 metric tons, or just over 7,000lbs. Over the next 18 months, the faces will be naturally weathered by the wind and rain and fade away, leaving a 'kind of anti-monument'.
