Patriots' Joey Slye: Hits three field goals in loss
    5m ago

Slye went 3-for-3 on field-goal tries and made one of two PATs in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Rams.

Slye made multiple field goals for the second straight week after going five straight weeks without doing so prior. His longest make of the day came from 42 yards, while he did miss an extra-point attempt for the first time this year. Through 11 contests, the kicker has gone 19-for-22 on field-goal attempts and 15-for-16 on PATs.

Ravens' Derrick Henry: Punches in 15th TD of season
    6m ago

Henry carried the ball 13 times for 65 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Steelers.

It was Henry's lowest output since Week 1 from a yardage perspective, but he salvaged his day with a one-yard TD plunge in the second quarter. It was his 13th score of the season on the ground and 15th in total, the third time in his career he's reached that mark but the first since 2020. Henry has gotten into the end zone in 12 straight games dating back to his final game as a Titan last season, a streak he'll look to extend in Week 12 against the Chargers.

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Comes up short in Pittsburgh
    10m ago

Jackson completed 16 of 33 passes for 207 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 18-16 loss to the Steelers. He added 46 rushing yards on four carries.

The Ravens arguably played well enough to win, but Justin Tucker missed two early field goals and Jackson wasn't able to hit on a two-point conversion attempt after leading a TD drive inside the final four minutes of the fourth quarter. It was the first time since Week 6 that Jackson had failed to produce multiple touchdowns, but a rebound effort in Week 12 isn't guaranteed, as he'll be taking on a stingy Chargers defense in the Harbaugh Bowl.

Colts' Matt Gay: Nails three field goals in win
    14m ago

Gay went 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts while making his only extra-point try in Sunday's 28-27 win over the Jets.

Gay was once again able to make multiple field goals in Week 11, marking the eighth consecutive contest that he's done so. The kicker most notably made a 56-yarder Sunday and he's now made 19 of 22 field-goal tries this season, including four makes from over 50 yards.

Saints' Juwan Johnson: Finds end zone Sunday
    18m ago

Johnson caught all three of his targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-14 win over the Browns.

The tight end was on the other end of a one-yard TD toss form Derek Carr in the fourth quarter. It's Johnson's second score of the season, but his first since the Saints' season opener, and he has yet to reach 50 receiving yards in a game this season. Johnson will remain a TD-dependent fantasy option on the other side of New Orleans' Week 12 bye.

Saints' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Another long TD in Sunday's win
    21m ago

Valdes-Scantling caught two of four targets for 87 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 35-14 win over the Browns.

For the second straight week, Valdes-Scantling and Derek Carr hooked up for a long TD -- this one a 71-yarder in the second quarter -- but the wideout did most of the work this time, taking a short pass over the middle and racing more than 60 yards to paydirt. The four targets were Valdes-Scantling's highest volume in three games since joining New Orleans, but he's posted a mammoth 6-201-3 line on his meager eight looks. He'll try not to cool down during the Saints' Week 12 bye.

Mets' Donovan Walton: Notches minor-league deal with Mets

Walton signed a minor-league contract with the Mets on Friday.

Walton spent the 2024 season with the Giants organization, going 3-for-22 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored over nine games with San Francisco. He spent the majority of the year with Triple-A Sacramento, batting .303 with seven homers, 51 RBI, 53 runs scored and four stolen bases over 99 contests. The 30-year-old will look to impress with the Mets this spring in order to potentially secure a spot on the 40-man roster for 2024 campaign.

Reds' Nick Martinez: Accepting qualifying offer
    9h ago

Martinez accepted the Reds' $21.05 million qualifying offer for 2025 on Sunday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

The right-hander declined his $12 million player option with the Reds for 2025, but he'll remain with the organization after being extended the qualifying offer. Martinez started in 16 of his 42 appearances in 2024 and had a 3.10 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 116:18 K:BB across 142.1 innings. Given the salary bump he should begin 2025 working exclusively as a starter.

Luis Severino: Unlikely to accept qualifying offer
    20h ago

Will Sammon of The Athletic relays that Severino is unlikely to accept the Mets' $21.05 million qualifying offer.

The deadline for players to make a decision on a qualifying offer is Tuesday, but it appears Severino is set to decline the Mets' offer in favor of attempting to land a multi-year offer. The 30-year-old right-hander signed a one-year, $13 million with the Mets in November of 2023 and had a quality 2024 campaign, going 11-7 across 31 starts with a 3.91 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 161:60 K:BB over 182 innings. It's certainly a risk for Severino, given the fact that he pitched just 209.1 innings from 2019 to 2023 due to various injuries.

    Connor Brogdon: Enters free agency
    1d ago

Brogdon elected to become a free agent Friday.

A foot injury kept Brogdon out for most of the 2024 season, though he was able to put up a 3.46 ERA in 13 Triple-A innings when healthy. The Dodgers dropped the 29-year-old righty from their 40-man roster Thursday, and rather than stick around as organizational depth, Brogdon will now explore his options on the open market.

Cardinals' Jose Barrero: Invited to Cardinals' camp
    1d ago

Barrero signed a minor-league contract with the Cardinals on Saturday and received an invitation to spring training, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Barrero owns just a .497 OPS across 447 plate appearances in his major-league career, and his offensive woes followed him to Triple-A last season, where he slashed .188/.277/.345 over 49 games. His chances of contributing for the Cardinals will remain low as long as he continues to struggle at the plate, though the 26-year-old may still see a healthy amount of playing time with Triple-A Memphis.
