Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have welcomed their fourth child. Lively subtly shared the birth in an Instagram post celebrating the Super Bowl on Feb. 12, which revealed that she no longer has a baby bump. “Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023 . . . been busy,” she captioned a photo of her with Reynolds and his mother, Tammy. The couple has yet to share any further details about their new baby.

On Feb. 16, Reynolds gave an update on how their new family of four was doing in an appearance on CNBC's Power Lunch, joking that “it’s a zoo” at their house and he’ll “probably spend the rest of my life” in his office. “We're very excited,” he said. “Look, we wouldn't do this four times if we didn't love it. Everybody's actually doing fantastic. If we hadn't figured it out by now, I think we'd be in deep, deep trouble.” However, he kept quiet about the baby’s name, sex, and birthday, noting that he and Lively technically hadn’t announced the baby’s arrival. “I ain't telling,” he said. “We didn't make a birth announcement, we just posted a photo and the media sort of did what it does after that.”

Lively announced she was pregnant with her fourth child on Sept. 15 by showing off her baby bump on the red carpet at Forbes’ Power of Women Summit. She never revealed the baby’s gender or her due date; Bustle previously reached out to Lively’s representatives for comment but did not receive an immediate response.

Lively and Reynolds are already parents to three daughters: 7-year-old James, 5-year-old Inez, and 3-year-old Betty. Their youngest child’s name was revealed by Taylor Swift — the couple’s close friend — in her 2020 Folklore track “Betty.” (The song also featured James and Inez’s names.) When James was 3 years old, Swift even included the young girl’s voice in the intro of “Gorgeous,” on the 2017 album Reputation. Given how private Lively and Reynolds tend to be after welcoming a new baby, it wouldn’t be surprising if Swift also revealed their fourth child’s name in a future song.

Family is very important to both Lively and Reynolds. Reynolds even recently took a “sabbatical” from acting to focus on his kids, as he told LinkedIn in December 2021. “The biggest thing for me ... is that I don’t want to miss this time with my kids,” he explained, adding that he wants them to live “like a normal human” with routines. “For many years when my wife Blake would shoot a film, I would not shoot a film and I would be with the kids and vice versa,” he said. “Now that they’re in school, they have a somewhat normal schedule. I think it’s totally important for their development and I really enjoy being a present dad. I love taking them to school in the morning, I love picking them up.”

In January 2020, Lively joked that she had “3,000” kids in an interview with Good Morning America, admitting that the transition from two to three children was more chaotic than expected. “At one point, we had three [kids who were] 4 and under,” she said. “It's like going from two to 3,000. I mean, we have so many children. It’s a lot. People say that going from two to three, it’s the same. You know, it’s kind of easy. Those people do not have three kids. It is crazy.” Now that their fourth child has arrived, Lively and Reynolds’ household is only going to get crazier.
