What advice do you have for new students?

I welcome you as future actuaries into this challenging profession, where you will have many opportunities to apply your mathematical and statistical expertise to problems of measuring and reducing risk for both businesses and individuals.

As a graduate student earning a Master of Science degree in Actuarial Science, you will be able to build a rigorous foundation in the technical skills that actuaries need to have, while also studying industry practices for life insurance, health insurance, and property/casualty insurance from actuaries working in those specialties in the Boston area.

Our program attracts students from all over the globe and I encourage you to visit us when you are in the Boston area. If you have any questions at all, please write to us at [email protected].
