PATENT 10,984,085 BIOMETRIC RECOGNITION FOR UNCONTROLLED ACQUISITION ENVIRONMENTS
Biometric enrollment and authentication have been event-based, requiring specific user actions and reactions to complete. This process was a discrete event which produced a yes or no answer. This patent provides a method of continuous capture of the users biometric data before the need of the authentication or enrollment, as well as during an active session with a user, to assure the user has not changed. In passive capture scenarios, such as through-screen fingerprint capture, facial capture through the camera, or voice capture through the microphone, as well as with behavioral sampling, the quality and consistency of the data inputs for both enrollment and matching necessarily become uncontrolled, causing more advanced methods of extraction and evaluation. This is the heart of this patent.
