Jessica Nicholson

Jessica is a Nashville-based staff writer for Billboard. She covers various sectors of Nashville’s music business, including record labels, artist management, touring and trade organizations, as well as genres including country music, Americana, contemporary Christian music and bluegrass. Before joining Billboard full time in 2021, Jessica wrote for outlets such as American Songwriter, Billboard, CMT, Forbes and Grammy.com. She previously served as managing editor for music industry trade publication Music Row Magazine and as a staff writer for country music publication Country Weekly. Jessica graduated from Belmont University with a double major in music business and marketing and is a member of Leadership Music’s Class of 2019.
