Christa is the senior copy editor at Billboard. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Rowan College of New Jersey (now Rowan University) and freelanced for Philadelphia-area publications before joining the magazine. She has worked in both a full- and part-time capacity for Billboard since 2000, rejoining the staff full time in 2007. In addition to her responsibilities at the magazine’s copy desk, Christa has also edited the biweekly Billboard Country Update newsletter for more than 10 years. She has written extensively about the hard rock/metal genre, contributing features, articles, concert coverage and music reviews to Billboard magazine and Billboard.com about icons such as Metallica, Rush, Motley Crue, Korn, Tool, Dream Theater, Ozzy Osbourne, Evanescence and her all-time heroes, Queensryche. She has also contributed to publications such as The Hollywood Reporter, Radio & Records, SPIN, Metal Maniacs, Metal Edge and Guitar World.
