Safety Not Guaranteed
Based on the film written by Derek Connolly
Music and lyrics by Ryan Miller
Book by Nick Blaemire
Directed by Lee Sunday Evans
If you could go back in time, what would you change?
Would you tell someone how you really feel?
Kiss your crush?
Make a friend?
Save the world?
If you’ve ever wished for a second chance, Safety Not Guaranteed is your story. Featuring original songs by Guster’s Ryan Miller and a book by Broadway mainstay Nick Blaemire, this new indie-rock musical gets inside your head while it cuts straight to your heart.
Nkeki Obi-Meleweke (Tina—The Tina Turner Musical) is a young journalist who digs into an outrageous classified ad seeking a companion to travel back in time. She’s out to make a name for herself—but is that all she’s after? Taylor Trensch (Dear Evan Hansen) is the secretive loner who placed the ad—but what is he really hiding?
Featuring a vibrant cast of rising stars, directed by two-time Obie Award-winner Lee Sunday Evans (Dance Nation, HOME), this show will make you believe the impossible is within reach.
