Typically, H-series processors are used in the most powerful laptops, which have traditionally been slightly larger in size. But thanks to engineering advances, ASUS has managed to fit the more powerful Enthusiast H45 processors into a thin and light chassis.

The latest 12th Gen Intel Core H-series CPUs offer two times better performance than their previous-generation U-series counterparts of the same tier. For example, the 12th Gen Intel Core i5 H45 CPU is twice as powerful as the 11th Gen Intel Core i5 U15 variant.

More power translates into better efficiency while working, helping save precious time by speeding up everything from app launches to edits and rendering. In addition, as the processing power requirements of software continue to increase, a more powerful CPU can help ensure your laptop is future-proof. The difference is perhaps most visible when multitasking — you will notice your laptop operating much smoother when running more complex workflows or when using multiple apps at the same time.

The increased processing power doesn’t mean your battery life will be decreased, however. In our tests, the difference in battery life of the laptops equipped with an H45 pro-grade processor and the same laptops with the P28 processor was barely noticeable.

Public health issues in recent years have taught us a lot about hygiene and health, and many of us have developed new hygiene habits as a result of what we’ve learned.

During CES 2023, we announced our ASUS Antimicrobial Guard and ASUS Antimicrobial Guard Plus technologies. Many ASUS laptops are coated with Antimicrobial Guard that helps inhibit the growth of the most common types of bacteria, such as E. coli and Staphylococcus. Antimicrobial Guard Plus also helps inhibit viral growth, limiting exposure to common types of viruses like H3N2, Influenza, and even COVID-19.

With this technology, a special silver ion coating is applied to the most-touched areas of the laptop. This coating inhibits as much as 99% of viral and bacterial growth over a 24-hr period. We guarantee the effectiveness of the Antimicrobial Guard coating for three years.

How does Antimicrobial Guard work? Silver ions and negatively-charged microbial cells are attracted to each other, causing contact. When this happens, the silver ions pierce through the surface of the microbes and damage their structure. As a result, microbial cell reproduction is inhibited, stopping the germs from multiplying and growing on your laptop surfaces.

ASUS Antimicrobial Guard and Antimicrobial Guard Plus both meet the ISO 22196 international standard for bacterial inhibition; Antimicrobial Guard Plus is additionally tested to meet the ISO 21702 standard for viral inhibition.

During CES 2023, we also debuted the world's first OLED laptops offering glasses-free 3D experiences. These laptops employ incredible new ASUS Spatial Vision technology, which is ideal for 3D content creators and for those seeking high-end mobile viewing experiences.

To deliver the 3D image effect, ASUS uses lenticular-based autostereoscopic 3D technology. This lens technology shows a unique set of pixels simultaneously to the left and right eye. Working in coordination with the lens embedded into the OLED display, an eye-tracking camera on top of the laptop detects eye position and optimizes the images projected to the viewer. This is what allows the user to see in 3D.

With this technology, users can also easily switch between the 2D and 3D views at any time.
