We've had curves on the brain for some time now, but lately we can't stop seeing an edgier version—if you will—of the scalloped edge. We're seeing designers work with the repeating patterns of slopes and waves in very interesting ways, on all kinds of objects: vases, tables, serving boards. Far from the classic delicate china your great-aunt has displayed in a cabinet or the precious detail on a cotton sheet, these showstopping contours are small and large, ceramic and metal, and keep our love of the trend alive and well. No matter your decorating preference, you'll likely fall in love with one of these great pieces.

Los Angeles–based design company Laun is making some seriously good outdoor furniture, and this bench in particular stopped us in our tracks. The rich blue cushions and the curvy aluminum evoke the waves of the Pacific. It's out of our price range but it's worthy of daydreams.
