Which Auburn players had the highest PFF grades against Louisiana-Monroe?

Auburn earned a much-needed 48-14 win over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday, and while it came against overmatched opposition, had one of its best performances of the season.

Pro Football Focus gave Auburn a 79.4 overall grade for its performance, its third highest in a game this season. PFF also graded every Auburn player that played a snap in the game.

Here’s who had the highest and lowest grades:

Offense

Top 5

  1. OL EJ Harris 80.7
  2. WR Cam Coleman 80.1
  3. OL Izavion Miller 76
  4. OL Jeremiah Wright 72.8
  5. OL Jaden Muskrat 72.5

Analysis

There’s an obvious trend here: the offensive line. It’s no surprise to see four offensive linemen on the list given Auburn had a 92.2 pass blocking grade as a team.

Harris' grade may be a little inflated since he only played 15 snaps, but he was solid while he was in the game. Coleman was arguably the player of the game, catching eight passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns.

Miller and Wright were both solid on the right side of Auburn’s offensive line, helping pave the way for Auburn’s passing attack with pass blocking grades of 83.2 and 85.6 respectively.

Bottom 5

  1. QB Walker White 36.6
  2. TE Micah Riley 51 (10 snaps)
  3. TE Rico Walker 51.3
  4. WR Robert Lewis 52.3 (eight snaps)
  5. WR Perry Thompson 53

Analysis

Many of the players on this list were simply victims of low snaps counts. Even White, who played the entire fourth quarter, played only 19 snaps and one was a fumble.

Outside of Thompson, most of the players on this list didn’t see much playing time until the end of the game.

Defense

Top 5

  1. S Sylvester Smith 85.2
  2. LB Fa’Najae Gotay 79.1 (eight snaps)
  3. LB Jalen McLeod 78.6
  4. S Kaleb Harris 77.3
  5. DE Keldric Faulk 75.5

Analysis

Saturday was another all-around, solid performance for Auburn’s defense. Smith’s 85.2 grade especially stands out, highlighted by his 81.7 coverage grade.

Faulk and McLeod continue to be Auburn’s best pass rushers and McLeod’s efforts were rewarded with a sack against ULM. Harris, a freshman, also continues to shine, and had the second-highest coverage grade on the team at 81.6.

Bottom 5

  1. CB JC Hart 39.7 (three snaps)
  2. CB Kayin Lee 48
  3. LB Coleman Granberry 52.2 (two snaps)
  4. S Terrance Love 56.2
  5. DE Zykeivous Walker 60 (four snaps)

Analysis

There’s really not much to take away from this. Lee and Love were the only ones on this list who played any real snaps of significance, and even Love played just 11.

Hart slipped leading to Louisiana-Monroe’s last touchdown and Lee seemed to have a miscommunication earlier in the game that might have brought his grade down.
