Walsh College and Macomb Community College Announce Comprehensive Partnership to Streamline Student Pathways to Advanced Degrees
TROY, MI – Walsh College, a premier institution specializing in business and technology degrees, together with Macomb Community College, one of Michigan’s leading community colleges, are proud to announce the signing of an articulation agreement designed to enhance educational pathways for students seeking advanced degrees in high-demand fields. This partnership underscores both institutions’ commitment to maintaining the integrity of their programs while working together as equal partners.
This partnership facilitates a seamless transition for Macomb Community College students towards earning bachelor’s degrees at Walsh College in areas such as Accountancy, Business Administration, Applied Management, and Information Technology. Under this agreement, completion of an associate degree at Macomb Community College will satisfy admission requirements for Walsh College’s bachelor’s degrees, streamlining the educational journey for many students.

Components of the partnership include:
- Direct Transfer of Credits: Students who complete courses with a grade of “C” or higher in courses 1000 level or above at Macomb Community College can transfer these credits to Walsh College, ensuring a smooth transition and maximized credit transfer.
- Fast Track to Master’s Degrees: This agreement also offers Fast Track options allowing students to pursue master’s degrees more efficiently, potentially completing their associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in as few as 138 credits.
- Walsh Now Admission Program: Eligible students can concurrently enroll at Walsh College once they have completed their associate degree or 36 credits, with access to financial aid and scholarship options through concurrent enrollment.
- Comprehensive Transfer Plans: Detailed transfer plans are available, outlining specific pathways from Macomb Community College associate degrees to Walsh College bachelor’s degrees, ensuring clarity and direction for students aiming to maximize their educational achievements.
