it's hard to decide what is my fave track on this stunner of a record! Technical prog metal wizardry, beautiful vocals & harmony, and even a little proggy funk vibe reminiscent of early 60s-70s English prog, coupled with emotional depth and a deep core message - it fires on a lot of cylinders. When I'm in the right space to listen to this record, it really benefits from a deep listen. Tour de force work, boys.

Vitskär Süden's debut was one of my favorite albums of 2020. After spending a week curled up with their follow-up, I can confidently say that it is even better. It's not as immediate as the predecessor, but the songs keep unfolding and opening with each listen, and the end result is a thing of beauty and joy. In other words: this is really really goddamned great.
