about

Introducing capable UK-based producer Trashbat to our discography. This capable artist already had support from the likes of J:Kenzo or GetDarker and releases on finely curated outlets like Chord Marauders and MindStep.

His diverse catalog lays bare a keen understanding of the foundation of bass music, whether it’s Dubstep, Drum and Bass or Hip-Hop-inclined.

Signalfire Review:

Sourcing its input from all around the globe, respectable vinyl/digital label Version Collective has quickly established itself as a major force in the scene and continues to do so with their next release.

Concentrating on pure quantities of un-adulterated high quality dubstep, the imprint re-fuels its swift ascent with a heated four-track EP from Trashbat wit his experience in creating adept bass music - demonstrated in the newest addition
cataloged as ‘VCEP009’.

For his debut, Trashbat is discharging a hefty installment of 140 BPM soundsystem-oriented music titled ‘Hail EP’. The release is musically akin to the revered sound of early-days Dubstep, encapsulating its spirit - infused with his excellent sonic signature.

The entrancing, icy melodic litany in ‘Hail’ is met with a solid build-up towards a devastating bass drum journey of ridiculous proportions.

‘Tell Me Nuffin’ commands a more direct transmission - stripping the sound to its core for the most impact, the listener is met once more with vigorous dance floor fuel - ferocious and energetic sonic mass. Dispensing the same airy overtone in its atmospheric composition,

‘The Last Dubplate On The Left’ quickly deserts its alluring harmonic blanket for a supreme example of properly executed interplay of sparse drums and a massive low-end movement.

Topping off the series of excursions, Aerial sound design carries the grainy, rhythmic core alongside a mental foundation - embedding itself in the psychedelic lunacy that is ‘Meat Eater’.
