Brett Goldstein is set to appear in a guest star role in “Shrinking” Season 2 at Apple TV+, Variety has learned.
The role will bring Goldstein in front of the camera for the series, on which he is a co-creator and executive producer. Details on the character he will be playing on “Shrinking” are being kept under wraps.
Goldstein broke out in his role on the Apple TV+ series “Ted Lasso,” starring as Roy Kent while also serving as a writer and eventually co-executive producer. He won two consecutive Emmy Awards for his work on the show. His other acting credits include “Thor: Love and Thunder,” “Doctor Who,” and “Superbob,” the last of which he also co-wrote.
He is repped by WME, Mosaic, and Hansen Jacobson in the US, as well as B-Side Management and LARK in the UK.

“Shrinking” Season 2 is currently in production. Goldstein co-created the series with “Ted Lasso” co-creator Bill Lawrence as well as Jason Segel, who stars in “Shrinking.” All three are executive producers along with Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, and Annie Mebane. Warner Bros. Television, where Lawrence and Goldstein are under overall deals, produces.
Along with Segel, “Shrinking” stars Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Lukita Maxwell, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie and Ted McGinley. Both Segel and Williams earned Emmy nominations for Season 1, which debuted in January 2023.
Segel stars in the series as “grieving therapist Jimmy, who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own,” per the official description.
