Good product

Good product. 4 stars rather than 5 as would benefit from some clear guidance notes about how to deposit money into holding account and how/when it will be transferred to chosen product, but customer service from Rohan was excellent in helping me to rectify mistakes.

Unreliable till the end

I strongly advise caution when dealing with Prosper Bank. Here are two significant issues I encountered:

Fixed Rate Account: I opened a fixed-rate account at the beginning of October. After receiving confirmation from Prosper Bank that my funds had been received and would be transferred, I believed the account was active. The app displayed the account and balance as if the funds had been successfully transferred. However, I later discovered that the funds had never actually been transferred to the fixed-rate account, and I was never informed by Prosper Bank that there had been an issue with opening the account.

95-Day Notice Account: When I opened this account, funds were taken from my deposit account when they should have gone to the fixed-rate account. I only realized this oversight when I saw that the funds hadn’t been moved as expected. After contacting customer service, I was informed that the transfer had not been completed because the offer was no longer available—information I should have received much earlier.

Additionally, when I checked my 95-day notice account today, I discovered that the interest rate had been reduced—without any prior notification. I would have expected Prosper Bank to inform me of such a change, as most banks do, especially when it impacts financial decisions.

I've since closed the notice account, though I must now wait 95 days to access my funds. Based on this experience, I will not be using Prosper Bank again.

Stunning customer service

My first move on to Prosper App had a minor glitch but this was dealt with by the support function within the app. Rohan what a star!!
The whole experience has been wonderful and I strongly recommend Prosper to all who want a no fuss investment platform which offers great products!!

Opened an account via the app which was…

Opened an account via the app which was straightforward and easy. A couple of small glitches setting this up but contract with customer service was good and they were sported out easily. They are clearly working hard to have good customer service operation which certainly builds confidence in their operation

Really awesome service

I transferred my pension into Prosper, the whole process took a few weeks and they delays were mainly caused by the ceding scheme, app is quite basic as it stands but I’m sure it will be developed over time. Ability to trade ETF with no fees or platform charge is revolutionary, service has been good and emails responded to same day usually. Could increase fund range again I’m sure it will come

Prosper - Great Value for Wealth Builders

Prosper offers great value for long-term ETF investors and savers like me. I am now regularly investing in two ETFs and have opened two savings accounts via the Prosper app. In fact, it's the best value I've found with a wide enough selection of zero and low fee funds for most investors. The savings accounts also offer some of the best on the market and it's so simple to open an account with one of the partner banks like Santander and Sainsbury's Bank. Hopefully I'll save thousands in fees in the coming years compared to other platforms/ fund managers like HL, Vanguard etc. The app is simple, error-free and the support is very responsive. Highly recommended.

Two pensions in and pretty happy...

I have transferred over two pensions to Prosper. Both went smoothly and investing them in the etfs avaliable were incredibly slick.

As a new company, the app is concise (some might say bare bones) but I've had no problems with it at all. When emailing with a member of staff, they were helpful and responsive.

Personally, I would like them to offer accumulation etfs, and also gold, or similarly esoteric things you can't get elsewhere. Some of the details of their marketing offers are not always well delineated.

I'm happy to recommend this company.

Slick

Slick, clean and easy to you use and understand. Lots of work being done on the app, so you see improvements to user experience.
Investing into funds can be a complicated process, Prosper definitely cuts the complication and helps you get started. And that's what matters :)

As a newcomer in a crowded space they are already ahead of the game.

Having recently joined and moved my SIPP over I would highly recommend Prosper, there was a few issues getting the funds released from my prior platform who dug their heels in a bit but the Prosper customer service was great and helped get things moving along. The platform fees can't be beaten elsewhere and I look forward to my investments growing over time.

I met with the representative of the Prosper who explained what company works and how the transfer can be done with details. That made decision easy.
The process of transferring my pension founds was easy and strait forward.

User interface & Fund Range

Clean, logical user interface and investment journey as well as low fees and a great fund range.
Had deposits credited really fast so I could get on the job of choosing funds very promptly. Looking to keep adding to my SIPP on a monthly basis!

Excellent

Although they are a newcomer, I have found the team at Prosper efficient, friendly and very helpful. They have proved to be very keen and enthusiastic toward any interaction with them. The service they offer is great value and makes so much sense. Other platforms are more opaque and ambiguous, whereas Prosper strive to make the whole process as clear and transparent as possible. It feels like a safe and efficient home for your investments, run by a team with a proven industry background.
They are going from strength to strength with new products being offered regularly, and will soon be a one-stop shop for all of your investment needs.
It is unusual to find that the most efficient and cost effective solution is also the model of simplicity to use and interact with.
I hope that they do indeed 'Prosper' as that can only benefit customers such as myself.

Downloaded app and created profile then…

Downloaded app and created profile then opened a 6mth account. Next time logged in no account had been opened. Contacted customer services, they said profile had been created, no account open. Tried to login again and it seemed to want to create another account and said my NI number was already used. Very frustrating and opened a Raisin profile and account within minutes.

Low cost funds, great customer service

Very impressed so far with the app, selection of funds and customer service.

I transferred a pension from Fidelity, the Prosper team were great at keeping me up to date on progress.

None of us know by how much our investments will grow over the coming years, but what we can control is costs. Prosper's great selection of approx 30 funds where all charges (OCF and transaction costs) are rebated, as well as a decent selection of other funds, seems like a winning combination to me.

No telephone support and App not great

I opened my Prosper account via the app and selected a savings account to open. To add funds I selected manual rather than open banking but the app still connected to my personal bank account via open banking which I don't trust. I then had a question regarding the savings account I had selected so I called the Prosper telephone line and was answered by a receptionist who is only able to take your phone number and say that someone will call you back. Its been 2 days now and no call back. I have called again this morning, same scenario and still no call back.

The app itself is very basic with very little information and no support. For example, I select my saving account that says 'awaiting payment' but there is no option to make a payment. Also, one of my documents will not download and is in a perpetual state of 'downloading'.

I have now made 3 phone calls and understand from the lady I spoke to that the calls are put through to a 3rd party phone answering service who simply log the call and request a call back.

absoluteley ridiculous

absoluteley ridiculous, unable to tranfert money to the account i opened. no help form CS. cannot have acces to account number or sort code to transfer money through the app. i have lost money because of your uncompetency, around 50 pounds i am furious, dont open any account with them
