Easy sale via Motorway

Easy process to sell my car. Took pictures guided by Motorway and uploaded info Thursday afternoon, quickly got a call from Motorway. Car went for sale that night and highest offer came through next day at 3.30pm, as promised. Dealer contacted me that weekend and collected the car Monday morning, after paying me the agreed payment into my bank before taking the car. Couldn’t have been any easier and got a good price.

I was really pleased with my experience…

I was really pleased with my experience of using Motorway. I had looked at other online sites, but Motorway stood out for being able to give such a detailed account of the car being sold.
The process of adding photos and information about the car was so clear and then the follow up phone call was concise and my predicted price for the car was talked through clearly. Once sold, I was contacted by the buyer and we quickly had a pick up arranged. The money was transferred when the car was picked up and the paperwork done in seconds. Would recommend to others.

Experience with Motorway was stellar

Experience with Motorway was stellar. I got a better price than I would have with WBAC with an acceptable level of extra effort.

The only thing to bear in mind is that Motorway doesn’t complete the sale, the winning dealer does. Make sure you’re aware of and have disclosed everything wrong with the vehicle ahead of the bid as otherwise you’re just arming the dealer with reasons to negotiate you down on price.

You don’t have to accept any reduced offers they give you as you can just re-list the vehicle, but there’s nothing more disappointing than thinking you’re getting a price to then be faced with a lower offer.

Fantastic

I can only use one word - fantastic! 2nd time I have used Motorway and the web design is superb, easy to use and the customer support is quite excellent.I can not recommend highly enough. I have sold for several thousand pounds more than the trade in offer from VW! :-)

I would ensure that you point out every…

I would ensure that you point out every single flaw on your car before putting it in the auction. Myself and others have experienced that dealers will come and try to haggle down the price they originally offered by pointing out all minor defects on the vehicle. Don’t give them any room for manoeuvre.

The experience was easy with no worries.

The experience was easy, quick and hassle free. I was a bit unsure about Motorway as your TV advert needs improving to make people like you. However I was really surprised with you service and would recommend Motorway to anyone. Good on you and thanks for selling my car.

Excellent Experience

From start to finish the process of selling my car couldn't have been more efficient. The app was incredibly easy to use. Follow up communication from Motorway was timely and helpful and the car pick up and purchase was extremely smooth and quick. Excellent service thank you.

Steer Clear!

Steer clear if I'm honest. I used Motorway for a hassle free sale and I’m still suffering. Dealer spent an hour with the car, test drive, diagnostics, the works, now after a week he’s claiming loads of issues and Motorway is supporting his claim to return the car for a full refund. Be better off losing money with Webuyanycar then using Motorway or Part-Ex with a main dealer. If you’re unsure search Reddit there are loads of issues that don’t seem to make it here!

Found it a very easy experience and…

Found it a very easy experience and happy with the price for my car. The communication was very good and always quick in answering any questions. The payment was made to my account before my car had even left my driveway. Would definitely recommend motorway.

Excellent way to sell my car

Very easy to sell my car, from uploading photos and details, to being informed when the sale was happening and what I needed to do. After sales very good, car picked up and payment prompt. Even letting me know what to fill in for DVLA. Highly recommend

Excellent service from start to finish

Excellent service from start to finish, simple to use and guides you through taking the pictures. Dealer contacted us right away and collected the car within 3 days. So much better than other similar car buying platforms, and their price was much higher too.

Dubious but actually worked out very well

I was actually pretty dubious about using the site given how much bad press there is about these things but had a positive experience with motorway. They were helpful, easy to contact and gave me reassurance. I don’t know if I got the best price but it felt fine to me, was easy and the dealer who came to collect the car was helpful and straightforward after one cancellation on pick up, he did come the next day as arranged after missing the first pick up. So all went well and I would use them again.

Great service from Motorway

Great service from Motorway. Everything explained clearly including what photos to upload and handy guide to make sure the photos displayed the car at its best.
Call from a Motorway rep clarified what I had done and told me when my car would enter the auction. Car sold- trader excellent and called me when Motorway said he would.

Easy process but beware of the sharks

The process to follow the app instructions to upload all the photos and paperwork is very easy. Regular texts details progress and deciding whether to accept the purchase price or not is easy. The watchout is if the purchaser then tries to reduce price too much at pick up.

Process was very quick

Process was very quick, took one day to receive and offer and 3 days to arrange a collection date. On collection day, a few photos were taken and the payment was made to the finance company and the extra cash was in my bank before the car left my drive. 10/10

Great service provided

Great service provided. I didn't get the reserve price but I a price of £1300 more than "Webuyanycar" offered me. Most importantly, payment was received in my bank within minutes of the sale being confirmed on the day of pick up.
I would certainly recommend "Motorway", and I would happy use their services again.

Motorway gave me the best offer from…

Motorway gave me the best offer from dealer
No contact from dealer for couple of days
Then dealer sent text. Not purchasing your car due to customer they had lined up wanted a different colour. How are they allowed to bid and agree to sale then back our for any reason. Nothing to do with car condition as it’s like new.
Motorway response: nothing we can do!!!
Dealer allowed to Mess you around with no consequence. Car has to go back into auction where I assume dealers will know it didn’t sell. Motorway Poor!!!
