About us
Everything we do at Claytex is about modelling and simulation, in particular the simulation of the dynamics and behaviour of the complete system. With a focus on systems engineering, this covers multiple domains such as vehicle dynamics, powertrain, energy management, thermal management and extends into the virtual testing of ADAS and autonomous vehicles. Claytex is a software distributor, solution developer, consultancy and training provider. We develop simulation solutions using the open standards of Modelica and FMI and distribute systems engineering solutions from Dassault Systemes, rFpro and specialist Modelica library developers. Our portfolio of tools includes Dymola, Reqtify, ControlBuild, rFpro as well as our own software products.

New Blog 💡 Experiments with causality (Project Hail Mary physics) - Claytex Tech Blog - By Garron Fish, Chief Engineer Modelica does not require causality to be assigned in equations. This means that a Modelica solver, such as Dymola, must be able to solve an equation regardless of which variables are inputs and which are unknowns. To test this in Dymola an example based on flying a spaceship, as is done in the book 'Project Hail Mary', has been created. New Blog 💡 Dymola Applications at Claytex - By: Alessandro Picarelli, Engineering Director "The range of applications we've modeled at Claytex over the years is truly astounding, and the versatility of individual components like bearings, shafts, pipes, valves, and more is remarkable! We've also been developing aftertreatment systems and integrating chemical equations into these models. For wheeled vehicles, we've built extensive expertise and developed application libraries for modelling the systems integration of motorbikes, buses, agricultural machinery, excavators, and trucks. Today, this suite of libraries is known as VeSyMA – Vehicle Systems Modeling and Analysis."
