Last week, our colleagues joined together to mark International Day of Persons with Disabilities with an exciting fireside chat with Adam Pearson. A beacon for those with disabilities and long-term conditions, Adam has been changing the face of representation of disability on screen and in the media. I’m now nearly two months into my new role as Head of our UK Corporate Finance business, and what a start it’s been!   Since the start of our financial year in October, we’ve already exchanged on 24 deals, and we’ve got a strong pipeline with some high-profile mandates in the market. It’s been a busy but exciting time, with a variety of deals across sectors – from Business & Tech-enabled services to Diversified Industrials, Financial Services, and Energy. Private Equity are also very much back in the market, with 9 of our completed deals being sales to PE.   Despite initial concerns, the recent Budget changes in CGT were not as bad as many feared and seem to be supporting continued deal activity.   I’d like to say a massive thank you to all my colleagues who have been so supportive as we’ve rolled out our new strategy.   On a personal note, I’m still managing to carve out a bit of time to get out on my bike and teach my daughter how to ice skate, which keeps life balanced! All in all, I couldn’t be more optimistic about what lies ahead.
