Complete equipment inspections on your phone. Asset management, equipment checklists and maintenance planning.
About us
TakeAIM is an auditing, equipment inspection and maintenance app used to help companies manage workplace equipment. Combined with the web platform TakeAIM provides visibility and insights to help reduce maintenance down time and improve safety. Your team can inspect all assets, identify quarantined equipment and communicate issues directly to their head office. Helping managers analyse equipment and spot re-occurring issues to help resolve them before they happen in the future. Why the name, TakeAim? AIM is an acronym for Audits, Inspections and Maintenance – and you can Take it anywhere with you on your mobile phone. What does TakeAIM offer? Assign QR Codes & Scan Equipment by creating an asset register. Make your inspections even quicker and easier to complete by assigning QR Codes to pieces of equipment. Once assigned, your inspectors can simply scan the QR Code which will then take them directly to the correct inspection checklist and record the findings. TakeAIM allows photos and notes to be added during the inspection, and time/date stamps document the inspection process. Upon sign-off the completed checklist is automatically sent to your admin where the findings will be used to generate reports and analysed to identify common faults and trends over time. This digital inspection system monitors maintenance and inspections in real-time, you can set reminders and have access to all records without the need for paperwork. The app will offer access to an unlimited number of users and assets, and we can create additional equipment checklists quickly and easily if you can’t find the one you need.

It's a sobering statistic - the same can be said for tyres (but I suspect the numbers might be slightly higher for people giving their tyres a check). It always staggers me how many people don't complete pre-drive basic checks (more so in the winter) when the impact of faulty lights/tyres/brakes etc can be significantly higher. We see the numbers for "advisories" that are raised and rectified by companies using our TakeAIM app for fleet vehicle checks and the fact we see so many raised highlights just how many vehicles must be on the road that are completely clueless to the potential danger they are putting themselves (and other road users) in. You would also think that in the build-up to Xmas that drivers would be more mindful of wanting to spend Christmas morning with loved ones rather than risking ruining Christmas for them for the rest of their lives. https://lnkd.in/dtjKZEt
Research by what3words shows that 47% of UK adults don’t feel comfortable driving in the dark during winter, yet nearly 70% fail to check their headlights and brake lights before getting behind the wheel. Sobering stats from the @what3words winter campaign. #RoadSafety #WinterDriving #KnowExactlyWhereYouAre

And yet, so many people fail to complete these basic daily checks. Crazy to think that you might end up £2,500 out of pocket and with 3 points on your license - just to avoid taking a few minutes each day to carry out pre-drive checks that also improve the likelihood of you reaching your destination in one piece. When you sit and consider the pros and cons of completing those checks it is hard to fathom why so many people still ignore them? For any companies looking to encourage and monitor fleet safety checks you can sign up for a free, no-obligation, trial of our TakeAIM app which also allows you to complete pre-use checks of ANY other types of workplace equipment and vehicles. It also provides clear proof of your maintenance programme in the unfortunate event of an accident involving one of your vehicles. https://lnkd.in/dtjKZEt #CheckTyres #DrivingForWork #FleetSafety #FleetManagement TyreSafe Admin Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)
Section 3 of the Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness says the driver is always legally responsible for the condition of the vehicle while in use. Conducting a daily walkaround check is a vital part of a driver’s core role. Operators can delegate the walkaround check to a responsible person, who may not be the driver. Under these circumstances the driver needs to see evidence the check has been completed and the vehicle is free from safety defects. A minimum of one walkaround check must be carried out every day or at least once in a 24-hour period that the vehicle is used. Where more than one driver will use the vehicle during the day’s running, the driver taking charge of a vehicle needs to make sure it is roadworthy and safe to drive by carrying out their own walkaround check; however, due to health and safety implications this may not be practical on all occasions. Wintery weather is on its way next week according to BBC News but having said that I have already had to scrape ice off my windscreen the past two days. https://lnkd.in/epMGZfE2 But it serves as a good time to remind everyone of the importance of pre-drive checks - especially relating to tyres, lights and screen wash to help ensure you reach your destination safely. Daily equipment checks can reduce the risk of scary maintenance bills landing at your desk. Spotting a minor fault early and having it repaired at a convenient time and at minimal cost is better than it going unnoticed and worsening over time, leading to unscheduled downtime and escalated repair costs. #safety #maintenance #halloween
