We’ve taken steps to better support founders and investors in transforming ground-breaking research into successful spin-out businesses. 12 months on from the Government's independent review of spin-outs, we have adopted the report's recommendations and updated our policies. Most notably, we've reduced our normal starting equity stake from 40% to 25% to align with investor expectations and increase equity available for management teams. We're continuing to support spin-outs with patent costs, academic consultancy, and the professional guidance of our company creation team, Rick McCordall and Lizzie Withington. ✨Two Awards for Chemical Engineering industry-academic partnership 🌍 Congratulations to Professor Jonathan Lee and colleagues from Newcastle University’s School of Engineering who have been recognised with two awards at the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) Global Awards which celebrate excellence in Chemical Engineering. We’ve simplified how you can find and review our available IP. Until now, our technologies were listed in two places: on our website and the InPart platform. To make the process easier for you, we’ve decided to consolidate all our IP listings on Inpart. This change benefits you and us: ▪ For you: a single location to explore our technologies. ▪ For us: only one listing to maintain. #IntellectualProperty #Innovation #TechTransfer #LicensingOpportunities #IPManagement #ResearchCommercialisation #UniversityInnovation #UrbanSciences #InPart 📸 Picture: Artwork from Newcastle University's Urban Sciences Building, inspired by connectivity and innovation.
