OHeap Fire & Security is more than just one company. We’re made up of several brands and companies working in multiple different avenues of protection. Our security division is expanding rapidly and we are looking to hire an experienced Security Systems Engineer to join our team.


Role Description

Our Service Engineers maintain Electronic Security Systems in line with current standards and Customer requirements. The successful Engineer will be a self-motivated person who will contribute to the engineering team in their area, they will be responsible for the service and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems and from time to time, small installation works. The individual must be customer focused at all times, must be prepared to work within and as part of a team, be able to interact with colleagues, management at all levels, clients and other trades in a professional and tactful manner, and in doing so present a positive image of the Company.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·        Maintain Electronic Security Systems within our area of coverage.

·        Respond to service calls on all types of Security Systems and concerns with a sense of urgency as and when required.

·        Plan and respond to routine and re-active call visits.

·        Maintain effective communication with customers when planning site visits.

·        Maintain stock levels on your vehicle with support from the Stores/Management team.

·        Be available for site surveys and installation handovers as directed by your Service Manager.

·        Installation of small works projects, end to end process with full commissioning.

·        Take part in the call out rota for the area.

·        To attend and assist with troublesome sites and complaints.

·        Technically support Sales Team with quotations.

·        Initial planning of PPM on large/ complex sites – meeting with customers in support of key sites in region.

·        Take ownership of all customers in relation to all aspects of service delivery.

·        Attend training sessions as and when required.

·        Attend Engineering team meetings as and when required.

·        Be available to work overtime and weekends when required.

·        Identify any personal training and development needs to help you provide the best possible customer service.


Person Specification

·          Personality – Energy, calm under pressure, enthusiastic & honest.

·          Good communicator.

·          Experience of working in a challenging/ fast paced environment.

·          Technically proficient in most types of the security products.

·          Professional, Assertive, motivated and positive flexible approach.

·          Willing to learn.

·          Team player.

·          Industry knowledge.
