“Tom and I worked together during the early days of Intercom, when the Dublin office (and Product/Engineering HQ) was around 100 people. During our shared time at Intercom, Tom expanded the responsibilities and areas of ownership for his team, and earned the trust of management to a point where Tom was tasked with creating an entirely new Knowledge Base and Support Automation product offering for Intercom. Tom is the ultimate cross-functional collaborator. Our teams worked together on Intercom's first real move towards becoming an Omni-Channel Platform - a Facebook Messenger integration which our teams built in 2015, and launched in early 2016 (this since expanded to included a multitude of channels, including Twitter and WhatsApp). Tom builds great teams. During his time at Intercom, Tom attracted and hired an incredible team - supporting each of them to create and own their own career paths. Tom is comfortable and knowledgable in a vast variety of areas - product management, product design, engineering, sales, marketing, and support. A complete all rounder and a fantastic colleague to all who are lucky to work with him. He's also a fantastic, and incredibly engaging, public speaker.”
