You're crafting marketing strategies for diverse audiences. How can you avoid falling into stereotypes?
I've always said that you can't market to all people, if yourselves aren't all the people. Or at best you will struggle. Authentic marketing planning and in turn effective promotion comes from real understanding of your customer base, beyond data or biases, real ethnographic understanding. Unlocking human insights to be more genuine. Otherwise you are back at the Square 1 in the first point, the lazy biases and assumptions kick in and the work just won't work.

Here's how you can gauge the success of collaborative efforts in your marketing team.
When working across different groups for a campaign outcome (e.g. supplier, consultant and in-house as a scenario that I know well), the litmus test of how good the collaboration has indeed been - is when you check the output of work/creative/campaign. You can then see how well aligned it is. Say with ads; is it clear the connectivity implied and meticulously planned has come through? Getting the basics right e.g. PPC campaign mirrors the brand comms and the channels feel like a natural extension of each other, then you can really earn the right to move to more clever, integrated omni-channel stuff.

Here's how you can enrich your understanding of social media marketing through online courses.
To deliver a relevant and up to date marketing strategy including social channels, you want to be aware of the changes of formats and opportunity to a degree, as the platform are constantly innovating (ways to make more money). But the key is not to let the tail wag the dog; ensure you maintain continuous learning across channels, apply the 'why/so what' to each channel selection, then you can deliver work and ads fit for purpose. In addition, understand wider marketing effectiveness texts, case studies and academic research to really apply critical thinking and evidence to your marketing planning output.

How do you manage stakeholder resistance to innovative marketing strategies?
This involvement piece is a really important step and should probably be higher up. The best strategies I’ve either delivered or been a part of were bought into all around, because they were connected in the first instance. By doing internal research, understanding the business goals and the warts and all realities, from logistics and resource gaps, through to budget and politics, only then can you create a strategy that is likely to run the course.
