Last week I met with 11 CDOs across the UK data market and it was great discussing the findings from our recent Technology & Boardroom report with them (which can be found below UNLOCKED: Technology and the Boardroom Report). As well as our findings, it was great hearing about how these CDOs are finding the market at the moment. Here are some key takeaway themes: - Even with positive market sentiments, uncertainty is still hindering change, especially when it comes to budget sign off. - This flows nicely into Data Governance, an area that has on the whole been overlooked by many boards with low data numeracy, compared to the Ai hype train. This is made harder as it’s difficult to directly link Data Governance to direct value. - Difficulties of driving efficiency in companies with high levels of autonomy (didn't we think autonomy was a good thing?!!) Resulting in duplications and gaps in many instances. - The value created by the Hire-Train-Deploy model, and what a fantastic job Sigma Labs have been doing across the market. As a certified B Corp they have been significantly growing with the best talent in the market across the UK. It would be great to hear what other themes people in my network are seeing at the moment?
