October 2024 was a very special month for me as I was lucky to be able to participate in Le Programme Eve. Nominated by BNP Paribas Asset Management, I didn’t really know what to expect, except that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to attend and tap on leadership potential. It didn’t disappoint and in fact, far exceeded my expectations. There were over 300 women in attendance, we learned about brave leadership, met role models, were advised how to tell our story better, how to turn rituals into habits for more effective leadership, how to negotiate more effectively, change our altitude, I could go on for hours………What started off as daunting, quickly turned into the familiar as everyone embraced the experience wholeheartedly. Even the dancing breaks to keep us focused! I will take away many many learnings but what resonates most at the moment is the importance of recovery and its powerful impact on positive leadership. During our work day for minutes at a time, at night with quality sleep and vacation time to be able to unplug. A message we hear over and again, but perhaps tend to ignore when we are in the thick of our work efforts. BNP Paribas is cutting off #Oil & #Gas financing to please non profit "green" organizations that are not even significant shareholders. It is not very reassuring to see that BNP get its strategy dictated by NGO ! Lets keep in mind that similar well intentioned NGO shutdown the German #Nuclear industry (and nearly killed the French) to push "Green" Russian Gas. For consumer this is bad news as consumer price will increase. We should, of course, consider the growth in the installed capacity; however, the generation figures show us that the wind generators literally have tailwinds behind them. The largest annual wind generation had been realized in 2022 with almost 35 TWh, while it is now above 36 TWh in the last twelve months. This means that around 11% of the power generation has been sourced from wind, and its share is expected to be sustained at double-digit figures, unless it unexpectedly blows less. Today, Amundi's publishes its 1st half and 2nd quarter 2024 financial #results, showing a strong net income growth of +9.4% and high net inflows of +€15bn.   The breath of our offerings has been a significant asset in meeting the diverse needs of our clients. We had a positive momentum in both active management (+€8.0bn), particularly in fixed #income & structured products, and passive management (+€6.0bn). Commercial activity was particularly strong and accelerating in the 9 countries in which we operate in #Asia with +€22bn of inflows in H1.   The higher profitability has been achieved through both: ➡️ Revenue growth (+7.7% in Q2) ➡️ and expenses that are under controlled: our cost-income ratio further improved to to 51.9%, still the best in the sector.   Finally, on July 9, we announced the signing of the definitive agreement concerning our strategic partnership with Victory Capital, an initiative that will create value for our customer and shareholders.   These results reflect the continued commitment of our teams to serve our clients. I’m proud to announce Amundi's first-quarter financial results! Indeed, this publication shows that Amundi continues its development, both organically and through value-creating external operation. On the organic side: ➡️Asia continues to be a key growth driver for us, with AuM reaching €422bn, up by 6% over the quarter. Our diversified #inflows across major countries in the region underscore our strong presence and deep-rooted relationships with clients. ➡️In passive management, our #ETF inflows reached €5bn. These renewed positive inflows reaffirm our position as a leading player in this segment. ➡️The 36% increase in Amundi Technology revenue and the addition of four new clients highlight the relevance of our offer.
