  • LEGO IT Supplier Consolidation Project 2016/17

    Leading a global project team across EMEA, APAC and Americas regions, I was tasked with reducing the c.450 suppliers LEGO used to purchase standard hardware, software and hosted services. Through successfully managing a global tender process with over 25 suppliers, I appointed a portfolio of strategic global and regional IT resellers to purchase the c.£50m annual spend on IT equipment and services. The project reduced the number of suppliers by 20% and delivered like for like savings of 7% in…

    With Babcock required to utilise technology to reduce travel overheads in excess of c.£10m per annum, was responsible of with assisting the Babcock CTO in facilitating and evaluating the potential for a central video conferencing (VC) infrastructure; engaging with vendors to create the high / mid / low level design of the core infrastructure (to Government Impact Level 3); presenting business case to senior management; managing the tender process, appointing a delivery partner and project manage the implementation of the core infrastructure and installation of VC end points across 70 sites, reducing annual UK travel costs by an estimated £1m.

  •  Babcock Telecommunications Consolidation Sourcing & Implementation Project

    Tasked with reducing a fragmented supply base and total telephony spend exceeding an annual spend of c.£10m – lead the project to analyse existing contracts; present the business case to senior management; manage tender process to facilitate appointment of a single supplier and project management of the migration of 12,000 mobile connections & 3,500 fixed line channels across 250 sites, realising annualised savings of c.£2.5m.

  •  BBC World Service “Customer Zone” Redesign and Implementation Project

    With the BBC World Service requiring Babcock Media Services to improve its program scheduling process, was responsible for capturing requirements, solution design, project implementation and launch of the “Customer Zone”, an online portal for BBC World Service Schedulers to plan radio programs to be delivered across the world, delivering significant operational benefits and efficiencies.
