What do you do if your marketing strategies are falling flat and you need to level up?
One of the first things I would recommend is testing the hypothesis. Is it the marketing strategy that is falling flat? What was the execution like in the marketplace? Did we conduct effective 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒍 & 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒔? Was there a deep dive into Nielsen-type market & competitive data to determine attractiveness, competitiveness, priority, or mix for certain Channels, Categories, Price Segments, Geographies, SKU types, Pack Formats, etc.? Did we look at 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉? To understand flavours, tastes, buying trends, etc, across category, brand, segment, etc.? Did we define a 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕 𝑷𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒐 package to Win, based on this data? If not, it may not be the marketing strategy..

How do you bounce back from sales rejections and maintain a positive mindset?
𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐞 - 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐈𝐭 As salespeople, we need to develop resilience, but the inability to close, or the 'failure', should matter to us. We should not be apathetic, shrug our shoulders, and move on. We should care that we got knocked back. After all, this is what we do, it's our job. We should review every step, preparation, or action we took, then see what we can improve. We must use any rejection as an opportunity to learn, develop, progress, and get better for next time. Top sports people say how they use any defeat or failure to drive them on for the next game, the next year, or the next world cup. As salespeople, let us learn from them and use our rejections to make us better.
