Jove, a London-based InsurTech startup, has successfully raised £3.6 million in seed funding to revolutionise the insurance landscape for contractors and small businesses. The company aims to streamline the insurance process through its AI-powered platform, offering a 30-second quote and purchase journey while automating insurance validation. This funding round was led by Private Equity Fund Explorer Investments and supported by a group of renowned investors, including Seed X, Love Ventures, Portfolio Ventures, New Alpha Asset Management, Exceptional Ventures, and Start Ventures. This investment will fuel Jove's growth and enable the company to further develop its technology and expand its reach. Jove's innovative platform integrates seamlessly with human resource and applicant tracking systems, making it easier for recruitment firms, managed service providers, and mobility marketplaces to ensure compliance. The company has already established partnerships with major global players such as InterEx Group, Magnit, Remote, and Hays, as well as mobility platforms like Shiply With this funding, Jove is poised to launch a recruitment business insurance scheme across the UK and Europe in early 2025. Last week, the Association of British Insurers released data showing that the average motor insurance premium has fallen for the second consecutive quarter. Whilst this is undoubtably good news for consumers, we know that many continue to struggle due to the cost-of-living crisis and the relatively high cost of insurance premiums - despite the quarterly drop, the average cost of motor insurance is still £50 higher than the same period in 2023.
