Real Story -Please Read it Carefully!😄 Today, I received a direct message from a candidate expressing concerns about setting up a Selenium framework from scratch for their company, which lacked any automation testers. The candidate, who had described themselves as a “specialist in manual and automation testing “ in their bio, was uncertain about how to proceed with the task. The hiring manager had assumed the candidate was qualified based on their bio but failed to inquire about their automation skills during the interview. This oversight led to uncertainty on the candidate's part about how to tackle the assignment. In this situation, both the hiring manager and the candidate share responsibility. The candidate may have exaggerated their skills on their resume and bio in hopes of securing a higher salary or better job prospects. Conversely, the hiring manager's failure to ask automation-related scenario questions during the interview contributed to the misunderstanding. Who has done mistake over here - Hiring Manager or a Candidate?🤔 For all my connections in testing, I advise you to always be honest on your resume and bio.😄 ✅Secondly, choose a company based on the mentioned points: - Don't pick a job only for the pay; think about other things too. - Check if the work environment suits you. - Make sure there are both manual and automation testers for a balanced team. - Look at what current employees say about the company. - Consider perks like healthcare and training. - Keep work-life balance in mind. 💡 QA Automation Chronicles: The Epic Saga of Naming a Variable 🖥️ As a seasoned QA Engineer, I’ve conquered countless bugs, battled with flaky tests, and automated everything under the sun. But today, I faced my greatest challenge yet: naming a variable. 😅 You’d think after years in the trenches, naming a variable would be a walk in the park, right? WRONG. It was a Herculean task. I sat there, staring at my screen, as if I were trying to name a newborn child. Potential Names Considered: 1. `x` – Too mysterious. 2. `data` – Vague and uninspiring. 3. `tempVariable` – Lazy, and my old coding professor would disown me. 4. `superImportantCustomerData123` – Accurate but a bit too verbose. Finally, after much contemplation and a few cups of coffee, I settled on `userProfileData`. A name that speaks of clarity, purpose, and the relentless pursuit of code readability. 🎉 Let this be a reminder: even the smallest tasks in coding require our utmost creativity and dedication. Naming a variable isn't just a minor detail; it’s a testament to our coding artistry.
