💧**Is there a requirement for EDI billing within the UK non-domestic water industry?** 💧 In today’s digital world, efficient and streamlined billing processes are crucial for every industry. The energy and telecommunications sectors have widely adopted Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) billing for its accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness. But what about the UK non-domestic water industry? Is there a pressing need or regulatory requirement for EDI billing within this sector? 💭 Our Cloudwater Edge solution provides a sophisticated .xml billing output option but it has not had a great uptake from our customer base. Most of our customers prefer the .pdf and .xlsx options. I'm curious to hear from industry professionals and experts on this topic. Ensuring flexible workflows through print in the public sector. Across the UK Government and other institutions in the public sector, legacy IT systems remain a big problem. Using outdated technology can not only cause errors or failure to deliver services, but also serious risks when it comes to the security of confidential information and ultimately, the reputation of established organizations. Print continues to play a crucial part in digital infrastructures across the public sector, with the ability to impact long-term productivity, success and resilience. In fact, according to Quocirca, 49% of public sector organisations experienced data losses in 2023 due to unsecure printing.  In order to achieve its ambitious priorities efficiently and securely from decarbonising the economy to Net Zero and Levelling Up the UK in terms of equal opportunity the Government must ensure that legacy IT, including print ecosystems, are replaced with modern devices and software. Working in technology can be so frustrating at times. You spend several months planning and executing a project which sees the migration of millions of documents from a on premises DMS to Cloud DMS. Project goes really well and the supplier is excellent to work with. As ever in IT projects you expect a few little bumps but generally It should give you a warm comfortable feeling of a job well done. But no. On go-live day the MSP who provide a Citrix Desktop suffer yet another issue in their Private cloud and all that feeling of success goes out of the window and users question if the upgrade was the cause of the issues. The supplier in question merely says look out for the issue report in 5 days (they have a good process for that at least ..) and not a second thought of the impact of their failure is given. Rather than celebrating a job well done my team and 3rd party DMS vendor are left apologising for issues not of their making. Life at times really does goes against the grain. But onwards and upwards and well done team for dealing with the situation so well.

Active Gloucestershire's Seamless Transition to Teams Voice 📲 The non-profit organisation faced a challenge with their existing telephony solution as it lacked Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and posed a threat to their #CyberEssentials renewal. 🤝 As a trusted #MicrosoftSolutionsPartner, CSG hosted a Teams Voice webinar that caught AG's attention as a potential replacement solution. 🤝 UK Home Office to seek £250m Data & Analytics partner... 🔂 Currently they have various major deals in place, which it plans to replace with a single engagement with a ‘prime contractor’ that can provide a pipeline to specialist SMEs 🙏 The hope is that new supplier engagement will help “to improve performance, metrics and transparency, improve pipeline quality, ensure consistent availability of appropriately skilled professionals, and gain access to specialist SME capability”. ⏰ In the meantime, they will likely take up contract extension options with their existing suppliers, in order “to allow a gradual transition during 2025” as services are migrated from incumbent deals to the new prime contractor agreement. 💚 For full data on this sector, you can visit Tussell #publicprocurement #procurementdata
