How to erase buyer remorse forever If you have clients, don’t ignore this... Here’s a crazy truth: Selling NEVER stops. • Sell them to sign up. • Sell them to pay long-term. • Sell them to send referrals. Many coaches, consultants, and online brands neglect this. Once someone pays, they take the other person for granted, like an old friend they've known for years. • No urgency… • Zero excitement… • Slow onboarding process… • No cliffhangers to keep them WANTING MORE. If you want to scale a program or service online… Make them feel like they just made the best damn decision for their future. In short, give a shit. You’re competing with coaches who: • Have a seamless sign-up process. • Have a team automating every step. • Have EXTRA incentives that promote EXCITEMENT. • Make their new clients feel warm and cozy. How do you compete with that? Treat new clients like a first date... If you’re NOT opening the door, paying the check, and splurging on post-dinner ice cream… You can kiss that relationship goodbye. (and the late-night smoochin') This isn’t something you start after months… It’s day 1 stuff. And it isn't 'hard' to do. Every business or offer I’ve ever owned has followed a very tight process. 1. Take payment. 2. Send a welcome email immediately. 3. Send a welcome text (to guarantee they got the welcome email). 4. Send loom thanking them + detailing the exact process to start. 5. Send a welcome gift basket + handwritten letter. Shower them with excitement + gratitude. Your business depends on it. It takes days, weeks, months, or even years to close clients… But only 24 - 48 hours to lose them forever… Don’t want clients to talk shit behind your back on every internet message board? Getting your go to market message is the most important part of making outbound successful How most businesses do it: 1. Have an internal meeting 2. Talk about all the amazing features their product/service has 3. Reach out to 100 businesses with all the amazing features How it should be done: 1. Interview as many existing customers as possible What do they like about you? Why did they chose you over a competitor? What led them to buy? What was the decision making process? What has it meant for the wider business since using your product or service? What could you do better? 2. Speak to your target market - this can be through podcasts, interviews anything you can think of to get in front of them. What pains do they have? What would a service like yours actually do to their business? Who are the best people inside of those businesses for you to contact? Once you know what the market actually wants you can start to craft messaging around those pains & goals. Unfortunately it’s not finished there and you have to test absolutely everything. In August we thought we knew the right things to say. It took 25 different variations and an entire month to get there but we finally did.

Which Lead Is Better? [Let me know in the comments] Stop focussing on leads... start focussing on buyers. I speak with 25+ business owners, marketing managers and sales managers a month... They're obsessed with the metrics... - How many leads they are getting - Whats the CPL (cost per lead) - How to lower CPMs - Ad CTRs And while important... We see people with amazing metrics... But terrible sales performace... Why... They are optimising for the wrong thing. They are optimising for leads... not buyers. A relentless focus on quantity and 'cheap leads' gets them... - bad leads - poor show-up rates - not enough sales - and abysmal ROI from their ad spend Que storytime: Recently we onboarded a new client... And we found out they were getting gaslit by their previous agency. They were getting 'amazing performance' on ads... But had no sales to show for it. After spending $100k on ads. So we designed them a new campaign... → new ads → new offer → new landing page → new emails → new sales process Focussed all on quality, in-market, ready-to-buy leads... Getting name, email and phone number only was absolutely unacceptable. Especially because their client value is $30,000. So we reworked the campaign... and added a tough vetting and lead qualification process. Leads could only book in after providing... - their savings amount (in a range so not too personal) - when they wanted to solve the problem - if they owned a house already (important in the investing space_ - what their biggest challenge was that was stopping them - what was the #1 thing they needed help with We built this off the BANT qualification framework I learned from the startup & SAAS world. Getting the Budget, Authority, Need and Timeline of a person prior to a call is HUGE. Now as expected... Lead costs are up... They tripled. Going from $21 to $63... But we don't just have 'leads'.... We have in-market buyers looking to make a decision RIGHT NOW. So be careful on what you are optimising for... Steal my product launch checklist The thing that most sellers are forgetting to do? Launching a 50% off It's actually cheaper to launch at 50% off, and will save you margin WTF? Yes - why? The CTA is arguably the most important part of an outbound email. Do they understand EXACTLY what will happen next if they respond? If there is any doubt in their mind…they simply won’t respond. “Worth a chat?” Could mean anything. - Does it mean they can get on a qualification call with you? - Does it mean you’ll try to sell them something? - Does it mean you’ll send them something? If they think any of those things…they simply won’t respond. “May we send a link to a one minute video explainer?” THAT CTA they understand. It’s a video. It will last for one minute. They know exactly what they’re going to get. Don’t use: Worth a chat? Thoughts? Learn more? Read more? Or any of these. The recipient will never be sure what they’re going to get. One of the most important aspects of a cold email isn't a super personalised one liner. But I've found it to be about how well you are able to match your offer to the problem your prospect currently faces. Let me explain: If you are reaching out to roofing companies and you sell Google ads and email marketing services. If they are running ads on any platform themselves, they already have the intent to generate business through ads. Therefore, it will be much easier for you to pitch in your email to the problem that their ads aren't as good as they could be and that your team can double their inbound from ads or whatever. Heard Michel Lieben 🧠talking about this. He said "If you are Apollo and you see that a company has a position open with one of the responsibilities of that role being being list creation, you are going to pitch them on your vast superior database rather than your email sending tool." Best way to match the pitch to the pain is using clay to find data on the company. + if you really want, you can use the information gathered from clay to create a personalised opening line, kill two birds with one stone. Takeaway? Match the pitch to the pain by matching a solution your tool offers with a real and current pain your prospect faces.

At this point we've generated millions in email sales... Here's some of my favourite psychological tricks we used to help us. 1. Make the first sale simple. If you have a genuinely good value proposition, it shouldn't be hard to get a happy customer to buy again Which makes your first sale the most valuable, so ensure it is an easy (no brainer) process for them. 2. Leverage one's nature desire to belong. As a species, we like to feel that we belong in groups - it's deeply routed in our evolutionary history. So use that idea to your advantage. 3. Scare them. And then calm them down. You can do this by talking about the effects of NOT buying your product, only to then present them with the 'solution'. 4. Give them a choice. When it comes to the point of the sale, don't force them to buy. Instead give them the power to choose between their 'current situation' and their 'desired situation'. --- I know I didn't cover all the tricks out there, so feel free to drop some of yours down below.

7 Easy ways to make more from your email list… As quickly as today. If you want to know some simple and proven ways to “bolt on” more revenue to your bottom time… So you can make an easy 30% more than you are right now, without working any harder… Then this little wee post will show you how. So without any further adu… Let’s get right into it. Here goes: 1. If you already have some offers set up, add some upsells. 2. If you already have an upsell, create more upsells, with a down sell. 3. If you don’t have any abandon cart emails set up, do that yesterday 🙂 4. Before you send people to a link, create interest tags so you can get people to segment themselves. 5. If you’re not using stories in your emails yet, start doing it– they’re more engaging. 6. Always make sure there’s a CTA in every email you send… even if it’s just to reply. And probably the most important one… 7. If you’re not sending at least 3-5 emails a week, send more. And that’s it boys and girls. It really can be that easy. Burt, before you start… Here’s my recommendation: Choose one, start slow, test it out, and then once it’s refined and working well… Then add more. There’s no reason to overwhelm yourself. You have absolutely no right to rank on Google. Hundreds of companies do what you do so why should you appear in the top 10? Whatever your USP's are, I see the same ones on 20 of your competitors websites. Free delivery Free consultations Price match guarantee and on and on it goes. Just because you provide a service does not mean that you are entitled to appear in the top 10. You are just like everybody else. So what can you do? Show that you are relevant. Show that you are more relevant than all of the companies above you. Show that you are an authority Show that you can be trusted Show that you will give the customer the best possible experience Look at what the companies who are on the first page are doing and do it better than them. You don't necessarily have to spend more money than them - just be better. Find your niche - and then dominate it. Add value. Invest in your brand - get people actually searching for you instead of searching for your services - (this in turn will actually get you ranking for your services!) Don't just leave it Don't be apathetic Market your business It works! If you don't have the time or the expertise then find someone who does. But don't do nothing.
