It strikes me on this election day that political betting has gained unprecedented traction for this specific UK General Election. With previous events focusing on brand awareness, generally led by PRs with chalkboards outside Parliament and novelty stunts here and there; this time around it seems that the offering is coming first with genuine betting interest justifying it.   Whether due to product maturation or a certain few unscrupulous individuals pumping certain markets, the quality and coverage of political betting has definitely stepped up. The Racing Post has provided in-depth analysis of marginal constituencies - an intriguing complement to opinion polls - and the election date scandal has undoubtedly raised awareness and defined opinion.   Regardless of what happens overnight and into the coming days, with the US Presidential Election following soon after, I’d expect this commitment to political betting to continue for the foreseeable.   #politicsbetting #generalelection #igamingmarketing

There's one thing that often crops up in conversation with agency leaders for Jason Neale and that's the ✨Holy Grail✨ (after the football, trainer and music chat of course)... An agency achieving £100k in gross profit or revenue per FTE resource across the entire agency (so includes non-fee earners). And the next thing that crops up... Is it actually worth the chase? 👍🏼 If you're looking to sell at some point in the future, yes. The first in a series of talent-led activations with drinks brand TRIP and Sophie Habboo - with more to follow… ⚡️ It’s been great to work with the team at TRIP on this talent-led campaign. TRIP is a brand experiencing phenomenal growth: 📈 the fastest growing soft drinks brand in the UK, growing by over 520% in the last 12 months 🍵 now nearly 90% market share of the total CDB drinks market in the UK (research shows over half of all Gen Z consumers have now tried a CBD drink as an alcohol-alternative) 💻 the most organic search traffic of any CBD drink brand globally, with over 50 million impressions on TikTok and Instagram in January this year 🛒 now listed in 14 of the top 15 largest UK retailers for beverages - and expanding rapidly internationally But they’re also a great example for fast-growing companies, of how to authentically partner with talent.. - ensuring the talent they work with are already authentic lovers of the brand (Sophie has been a fan of TRIP drinks for long before they started working together) - sharing their own personal product stories - including an element of long term earnings in the partnership (e.g. equity / share of sales), to align everyone to the future growth & success of the brand

I had a thought that interested me recently about the state of social media and content creation in football. When you look at the top 5 leagues in Europe—England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France—their approach to digital marketing is incredibly advanced and forward-thinking. It got me thinking about how, here in Africa, and particularly in Southern Africa, those of us working in social media, content creation, and marketing don’t necessarily need to reinvent the wheel. Instead, we can look to these European clubs, mirror what works, and then adapt it to fit our market. Now, I’m not saying our content is lacking or that we’re light years behind. In fact, we create some truly unique content that resonates perfectly with our audiences. But it’s interesting to think about where content and marketing in South African football could be in the next five years. Imagine comparing that to where it is now, and then looking at the evolution of content and marketing in these big European leagues over the same period. The differences, the growth, and the innovations would be fascinating to see. It also makes me wonder where the marketing professionals, content creators, and social media strategists in these top leagues find their inspiration. Do they draw ideas from one another, brainstorm new concepts from scratch, or simply continue refining what already works, developing it further as time goes on? Whatever their approach, it’s clear they’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
