Owen Smith to launch push for union voters in leadership election

Owen Smith’s campaign team are expected to launch a push to target affiliated supporters in a hope to break through in the Labour leadership election.
According to internal party data, just 42 per cent of affiliated supporters voted in last year’s leadership election compared to 91 per cent of registered £3 supporters and 80 per cent of the paid-up membership. -

Herding dogs face extinction as 4x4s do them out of a job

The diversity of British herding dogs is under threat as apathy and cross-breeding put many on the verge of extinction.
Of 22 British herding breeds, 12 are now extinct and the ten remaining are mostly show dogs or pets, according to Kate Humble, the wildlife presenter, in a BBC documentary. -
