Anyone else’s kid ever get sent home from nursery because they are SLIGHTLY WARM but there is nothing else wrong with them? As rare as this situation is, this is JUST LIFE with two working parents, and no one else to help with childcare. I guess for some it’s tempting to just relinquish all work-related responsibilities when this happens. (And when they’re REALLY ill, you have no choice but to do this!) …but for me, the benefit of being fully remote and working from home is that I can still do some key parts of my job while “playing mum”. ✅ Email enquiries from customers ✅ Pricing proposals ✅ Internal demo prep calls ✅ Creating customer Digital Sales Rooms ✅ Team bonding/support on Slack ✅ ...and you can BET I'll still be making the odd cold call! As for customer-facing calls, I’m lucky to have an expert team around me to jump in and support when needed. (Big up Chris Fry!) The world doesn’t stop when your kid gets sent home from nursery…you just need to be a good juggler (and stick some dancing fruit on the TV) 🤹 #sales #childcare

Onboarding new clients is usually the first experience your clients have when they work with you so ensuring that this part it right is super important. It was a HUGE deal for them - because up until that point? - They were posting on LinkedIn twice per day. - They were engaging in various communities (on and off LinkedIn) to add value and try to win business. - They were running free livestreams inside a private community to increase their 'know, like, trust' factor. There is never a bad time to shout about your client's wins. Especially when they overcome their challenges and see amazing results. So today I wanted to shout about the team over at Achieve Hospitality. Since partnering with them back in February we have worked together to ‘achieve’ some impressive numbers across the board. Here are the details surrounding their challenges and what we have accomplished so far: ⛰️ The Challenge Achieve Hospitality sought a scalable training solution to empower their recruitment team, aiming to enhance skills in business development and candidate management. They wanted an efficient onboarding process for new hires, ensuring consistent and ongoing training from day one. 🎯 The Solution We got the team to complete a skills gap analysis questionnaire at kick off to identify their key learning areas in more detail. We then curated personalised course plans for the team to work through in the first ninety days that would help them to get better at those skills. Every quarter from then on, this process has been repeated. We also implemented a weekly personal development system so that they could log on to Hector and access training during the working week. These were followed with group learning sessions to discuss as a team what they learnt on Hector that week. 🏆 The Result Their Job-to-Fill Ratio increased from 8% to 50% Their Placements increased by 316% Their Signed Terms with Net New Clients increased by 200% It’s success stories like these that remind me why I enjoy what I do. Funny story time: 1 TINY thing that can MASSIVELY help with your business storytelling. I’ve noticed my partner always gives me a “you look pretty today” compliment on our drive home if one thing happened the day before… 😂 I’ve done my eyebrows 😂 It’s the tiniest thing and the eyebrows are NEVER noticed - but I always get a compliment on “all of a sudden looking fresh” 🤷🏻‍♀️ How on earth does this apply to your business!? The “eyebrows” to your company is usually the hook. That small thing that really matters. Examples: ✅ Linkedin: it’s the first sentence of your post ✅ Video: the first seconds in your intro ✅ Website: the value proposition you show in the first few seconds of landing on the site 🙏Make them interesting and valuable for your ideal customer.🙏 No one will notice that you have a great hook, but they sure will tell you “you look pretty today”. Joking. They’ll probably just buy from you. Or convert. Whatever your business goal is. So, take care of that tiny thing: the hook. And maybe the eyebrows too. Questions? Why is anyone going to talk to me? I am really not interesting. They will all hate me and just ignore me Genuine thoughts that go through my mind on my way to any networking event that I go to. Yes even ones that I have been to many times before and knowing I will know people at the event. Of course it never happens, people are great and will chat with you, welcome you with open arms and generally make you feel comfortable, it is just the way my mind works. Even last night when I went to play football, I knew 1 or 2 of the people going but these thoughts went through my head, again all worked out great as they are a nice bunch of lads. Let’s talk about some of the no’s I’ve gotten recently - A great organisation that I really wanted to work with on an outreach project who were looking to run a training in October. They've had to put the training on hiatus because they're having a restructure and promoting some people internally. - An organisation that was interested in a 'quick win' workshop that I'm running for sports companies - but who have staff on holiday during the date(s) that I'm running it on Both organisations that I'd love to work with - and that I'm maintaining relationships with... because at some point? It'll align and we'll do great things. And let’s talk about some of the yes’ that I've had recently: - An epic company that I'm running a series of outreach trainings for so that their sales teams have the ability to do best-practice outreach using their personal strengths. - A cool company that are bringing me in to deliver a keynote talk on developing influence as a female sales representative so that they can improve their retention of key female sales talent. (Because we're a rare breed!) So why am I sharing the wins and the losses today? It's important to know that even the best salespeople don’t win all the time. They’ve just got enough in their pipeline not to worry about the not right now’s. And they're smart enough to recognise that real relationship building always works out in the end :)

'I've now got an initial session booked in, invoiced and been paid in advance. It's the most I've ever received for a one-hour session' And the best bit about this? The one hour session is just the START. Because this provider has: - Used my proven BD call process to identify clear areas of need - Used effective questioning techniques to help their stakeholder self-identify the top priorities - Will be delivering a phenomenal customer experience - Has a proven upsell process from The C Suite ® that helps them maximise their revenue from each corporate client. If you're not selling consistently at premium price points to corporate clients as a coach/ consultant/ speaker or trainer... The C Suite ® is open - but the price goes up in a couple of weeks. Sent a load of emails this week? Getting “No thanks, we’re sorted” or “Not interested” rejections? Here’s the thing – most of these aren’t true rejections, they’re just objections in disguise. Pick up the phone and call them back. Why? Because “I don’t have a need” is rarely the full story. It’s usually just a polite brush-off, or they don’t really understand what you can offer. Here’s how to handle it: -Call them back. -Acknowledge their email (“I saw your message, totally get it.”). -Dig a bit deeper. Ask: “Just out of interest, what’s the main focus for you right now?” You’d be amazed how often that ‘no need’ turns into a real opportunity once you get the prospect talking. Has anyone else got that glorious ‘Back to Work’ feeling? I have LOVED having the last three and a half weeks off (and have managed to do some incredible things with the most amazing people) but I’m also really excited to get back to my desk this morning and all the exciting projects I’ve got coming up in September! So far, September looks like; - Working with some epic companies to define + refine their B2B sales processes, train salespeople and coach new / existing sales leaders. - Hosting two fabulous in-person events (including The C Suite ® VIP experience and our in-person client day!) - Attending a book launch for an awesome client and celebrating her work - Writing the foreword for another sales leader’s awesome upcoming book (and what a privilege to be asked!) - Our September Sprint for our clients to maximise revenue, improve business development skills and sign more clients! And of course, lots of fabulous sales activity too! 🎉🎉🎉 Remember, September is the BEST time of year for B2B sales - if you use a proper process - so make sure you make the most of it!

I used to think monday.com was a pile of 💩 Oh how I have changed my tune. Over the last 3 months, nearly everyone of our clients has been put onto the platform. For me, Monday used to be Not built for purpose Said it was a CRM Clunky Slow But now... they have seriously built on all of these parts. Feeling super proud… 🏆😊 I feel confident enough to say that I think I’ve done it… 🏃‍♂️ Now, 4 and a half stone lighter than the previous year, after sitting in a calorie deffosit each day, I can now run 13k in one hour. It’s no fluke either, I’ve run 42k in the last 4 days. Every metre before I’ve even started work. It’s no longer even about the weight loss, it’s the sense of clarity that I can only reach when I lose myself, deep into a run. 🧠 I have found such a love for running because it helps me think and digest my previous day’s learnings, enabling me to come back with the motivation to make a bigger splash in EVERYTHING I engage in. Whether that’s smiling and saying “hello” 👋🏻 to a stranger, being there for WHOEVER needs it, or celebrating some of the incredible achievements that my colleagues and I have accomplished, I know that I have made an impact to someone’s day… It used to be about the weight loss; now it’s about my sense of enlightenment before the working day has even begun. I know that when I speak with a customer, their issues are now my issues. I’m so invested in making our system work for them and that’s all because i know that if I can make someone’s day, that’s probably going to make mine too. Back in the office today, after a week away in St.Ives, which can only mean one thing… Holiday number two is officially over and so are my trips to sunnier climates! (for this year anyway) 😅 It’s always a strange one when the summer holidays end as you only really have two or three months of solid work before the gin comes out and the Christmas festivities begin. It’s important to use this time to reflect and set yourself up for success going into 2025. Here are three things I’ll be getting in check, before the end of the year, now I’m back from the last of my summer hols: 🌞 Current Processes & Plan For The Year Ahead It can be easy to return from your holiday and slip into the same thing as before your break. By taking a moment to assess current processes and ways of working, you can make any necessary improvements to ensure you are moving forward and not staying stagnant in your day-to-day. 🌞 Client Meetings & Catch-Ups It won’t just be you that’s taken time away from work, the clients we work with would have done too. Throughout this period, there is likely to have been changes within their business whether this be with new hires or their business goals. Use this time to realign and set targets so you can both achieve what you need to achieve. 🌞 Goals At the start of the year we all set goals but January was nine months ago and a lot would have changed by now with things being achieved and personal/business goals shifting. Now is a great time to review them, set new milestones or keep old milestones at the top of mind to have the best chance of hitting them before 2025. — By focusing on these areas, you'll be able to close out the working year strong and be in the position to book next years holiday too 😉 For me, I’m thinking it’ll be two week vacay to Italy! #recruitment #recruiting #customersuccess
