Economic Empowerment
Raleigh International is a charity committed to ensuring its work provides a sustained positive impact to the communities they work in and the participants who volunteer. I volunteered and was selected to join 96K to Zimbabwe. I raised £3,000 through fundraising activities then took part and led on 4 remote projects to build a school, old peoples home and clinic plus completed 350km kayak safari on Lake Kariba in 10 days.

In 2007 Dr Beames and Dr Tim Stott from Liverpool John Moores University evaluated the impact of an autumn expedition in Costa Rica. They surveyed participants before and after their experience and found a significant improvement in:
Confidence in dealing with people from different cultures and countries
Mental resilience to succeed when the "chips are down"
Self awareness
Preparedness to influence group situations
Ability to plan and lead group projects

Understanding Consumer Perception of 4G Technology
Using Crimson Hexagon ForSight we performed contextual analysis of social media conversations about 4G networks in the UK (the fourth generation of mobile phone mobile communication technology standards) over the last year to uncover consumers’ unique value and pain points with 4G in general and with EE and O2 4G services.
