❔ Quick question for you: Does it matter to you if your IT Managed Service Provider is based locally? Circle Cloud have remote support service offerings, meaning we can (and do) work with lots of organisations outside of Teesside. Remote support has opened things up massively for companies who're seeking out an MSP, as they're no longer restricted to organisations that are around the corner. Quality can now be put before location. I also work with a lot of suppliers who're based around the UK. That said, there are a fair share of Teesside (and North East) based companies we work with as well. There is something satisfying about working with people who (quite literally) speak your language. I've mentioned before, I'm a big lover of the Teesside region. I was born here, I work here, and I plan to build my future here (and I walk the dog here, hence the picture of the beautiful South Gare taken last weekend 🐶). So, I was genuinely curious... does location matter to you when choosing an IT provider (or another service)? I'm genuinely curious...

Permission to speak freely please................ The VMware acquisition and the "acquirer’s" “bullish” license changes is proving to be frustrating, disruptive, and counter-productive, somewhat concerning, let alone excessive from what I am hearing. In the NHS, it's time to consider alternative hypervisor strategies especially if you are on a tighter budget. I bet many customers and partners share the same concerns. For those who missed it, seems acquirer was questioned by EU antitrust regulators about changes to VMware's licensing conditions following complaints from a "broad" customer base. Interesting…. Feels like the possible “death” of what was once a de-facto hypervisor, well for me anyway! That is not a cheap shot but the mindset of a tactical strategist. Time to start another new round of due diligence. I just completed 4 months of R&D around SOC/SIEM providers for healthcare, now back to hypervisors. You have to look after your customers! The publicity around this acquisition and the subsequent license changes is out there for all to see, just type in VMware in Google without any text and you will see what I mean. There is another sense of deep irony in the sale of VMware and what that will now mean for Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and other hardware vendors trying to build a relationship with acquirer, and whether the customer will get what they need, when they need it, and at an economical price. Support i sense, is going to be a nightmare, between said product and hardware vendor…I could go on. #nhs #hypervisor #servers #cloud #vmware #changemaybecoming

We did it!!! We’ve grafted hours and hours into our new ConnectWise ITSM tool and we had a brilliant launch day. Huge thanks to Sharon Pashley for training me. Many lessons were learned, meetings were held, and mistakes corrected. But we got there! We have a system up and running that primarily focus’ on the customer journey. With portal access to update your tickets, automations for an efficient ticket journey and clear communications along the way. 🚀 Exciting News for Mac Users of Microsoft 365! 🚀 Microsoft have launched a feature called Platform SSO for macOS which works with Microsoft Entra ID! 🎉 That all sounds like a bit of a mouthful, for people with macOS devices it makes your Microsoft 365 login experience easier to use and more secure. You can sign in to your Mac using Touch ID and sign in automatically to Microsoft 365 without having to enter extra usernames and passwords. As you are using Touch ID you have added in a biometric check to your login making it more secure like users do with Windows Hello for Business.
