GOV.UK have recently released their Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2024 📄 We’ve highlighted some of the top findings: 🔓 UK businesses have experienced approximately 7.78 million cyber crimes in the past 12 months 🔓 Half of businesses and around a third of charities report having experienced some form of cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months. 🔓 70% of medium businesses and 74% of large businesses have experienced some form of cyber security breach or attack in the last 12 months. 🔓 By far the most common type of breach or attack is phishing with 84% of businesses suffering from a phishing attack 🔓 75% of businesses report that cyber security is a high priority for their senior management 🔓 Of the businesses that experienced cyber security breaches or attacks, 44% ended up being victims of cyber crime 🔓 The average annual cost of cyber crime for businesses is estimated at approximately £1,120 per victim Read the full report 👇 #cybersecurity #databreach
