What do you do if your boss is constantly micromanaging you?
Empowering and trusting your team is key, everyone has a personality and work style that works for them. Defining clear objectives is also key. Let the team know the direction of travel and the key goals needed to achieve success. For me, it’s about “creating, working and closing”. My mantra is if an activity is not aligned to one of those three key elements, stop, re-think and workout how it can be. Bi-directional feedback is key, I WORK FOR MY TEAM. My role is to make their role as easy, productive and financially rewarding as possible. I welcome and embrace my teams feedback, only this morning I was on a call with John, and asked him, “what can I do differently to make a difference?” Micromanaging is a path to failure.
