Private Equity Insights, one of the UK’s largest private equity conferences, is just two days away. Beny Meyer, Business Lead Semi-Liquid Private Markets at LGT Capital Partners, will speak on a panel on the democratization of private equity on 4 September 2024. London, UK based Isomer Capital recently launched its first dedicated secondaries fund. 💸 £100m from several Nordic family offices and a German foundation. 💡 The secondaries fund will invest up to 75% to buy stakes in VC funds from existing LPs, and up to 25% is earmarked for direct secondaries in companies. The third annual edition of Mid-Market Private Equity not only examines financial and social outperformance of Mid-Market private equity, but also delves into investment patterns and profiles. Europe’s Mid-Market private equity segment could not avoid the turbulence affecting markets in 2023, with investment contracting to €35 billion and the number of companies backed dropping to 1,067. However, investment by value and number of companies remained ahead of the pre-pandemic levels, and roughly two times the total witnessed a decade earlier.
