Navigating Tech Giants as a UK Non-Profit: Are We Being Left Behind? At aMAZing Therapy Centre CIC, we’re dedicated to supporting mental health through counselling services, but we’ve hit a major roadblock when it comes to accessing the free tools offered by big tech giants like Google and Microsoft. These companies often classify UK Community Interest Companies (CICs) as non-charitable, leaving us ineligible for their non-profit programs. For example, Microsoft offers free software and discounted services to charities, but they do not extend these benefits to CICs like ours. Similarly, Google provides free ads to recognised non-profits, but doesn’t include CICs, under their definition. It’s frustrating, especially since CICs like ours deliver vital services, often filling gaps where public resources are stretched thin. We’d love to hear personally from Microsoft's Justin Spelhaug and Google's Maggie Johnson or Justin Spelhaug​ about how they can help aTC overcome these obstacles—beyond the standard response of “we currently do not operate this way in the UK.” Is there a way forward for CICs that aligns with the critical services we provide? Have others faced similar challenges? Any ideas on tech companies that might offer more inclusive support? What is Emotional Freedom Technique And How Does It Fit In The Reclaim Your Radiance Method I Have Developed? 🔑 You may have seen some of my previous posts describing the method I developed and work with called Reclaim Your Radiance, which comprises of: - nutritional therapy - dynamic eating psychology principles - lifestyle modification - mindfulness coaching - EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Today, I would like to shed some light on EFT, as I feel it's a modality which many of you may not be familiar with, even though it can be an amazingly effective, quick, and safe method to use for a number of instances where our thoughts, beliefs, and feelings might be affecting our physical and mental health in negative ways. By the end of our tapping session both the headache and neck ache eased off significantly and he also reported feeling better about himself and his abilities again. 40 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗵*𝘁 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 On Saturday I gave a keynote on stage: "Harnessing Sleep For Peak Performance & Profit". It was in a breakout room at "Anything Is Possible 2024 Event" In Manchester UK. (𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 event from Holly Moore & Make Events Ltd , see you next year!) By default, I'm a highly anxious introvert. Talking to new people (outside of coaching) ➝ isn't comfortable or natural to me. Being center of attention ➝ isn't comfortable or natural for me. So talking on stage, in front of 40 strangers is ➝ maximum fight or flight territory for me. Suddenly it was go time.. I stood still for what seemed like an eternity My inner voice was telling me loudly "you're gonna mess this up bad" 40 strangers watched me sh*t myself Then I clicked the clicker Got started, and my inner voice was silenced. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The audience was engaged And they asked great questions Despite all my fears and anxiety I have decided that talking on stage is what I want to do alongside coaching I see it as the way I will have maximum impact doing what I have chosen to do. I am confident that every time I do it ↳ I will get better  ↳ It will get easier ↳ I will impact even more people When you do new things Outside of your comfort zone Accept it will be uncomfortable at first. That inner voice will say things to you, and try to hold you back. It's trying to "protect you": the brain fears change and prefers comfort. Be uncomfortable. Be adaptable. Be brave. Start.
