#Timesheets #WorkplaceWoes #HRChallenges Hey everyone! So, I've got a little dilemma, and I’m hoping to get some advice from you all. The head of HR—super polite and professional by the way—just sent a friendly reminder to myself and the top person on my team about filling out timesheets on time. 🚨 Here's the scoop: Most folks get it done without any issues, but there are always a couple of stragglers who leave it until the last minute. Today was especially chaotic, with frantic emails flying in as they tried to get late exceptions for their timesheets. It’s a recurring theme, and I can't shake the feeling that I might be missing something. I send calendar invites, post reminders in our team chat, and even reach out to people directly just before the deadline. Yet, despite all those efforts, I still get, “I’ll do it shortly,” followed by silence. 😩 Now I’m stuck wondering—should I just keep quiet, or should I respond with a recap of my efforts? I fear that saying, “I’ve done X, Y, ... Should I Speak Up About Team Members' Timesheet Neglect? Answers: https://lnkd.in/gPt8AiBn

HR departments have a long fight ahead of them. We've had a productive year – AI implementation has given teams a new lease on efficiency and talent retention. But, where there are positives, there will always be negatives; these systems are certainly not polished. HR teams really can't blame candidates for making their own hiring tools to push back. But this has only led to a longer wait time as departments become overwhelmed. What we really need is a more in depth system, one that can sort through candidates properly and without bias. In turn, they should be able to use AI as well, but not for mass applying – instead it sure ensure their resources are perfect for the job they are qualified for. #AI #Hiring #FutureOfWork #HR #DigitalTransformation

The latest Office for National Statistics UK Labour Market Overview for May 2024 highlights some concerning trends that align with the challenges identified in the Eploy UK Candidate Attraction Report 2024 and the Talos360 Future of Talent Report. Employment is down, unemployment and economic inactivity are up, and the number of job vacancies has fallen compared to the previous quarter. This points to a tightening labour market where candidate scarcity, identified as the top challenge by both the Eploy and Talos360 reports, is likely to become even more acute. In this environment, the recommendations from the two reports become all the more pertinent: - Adopt a skills-based approach to hiring to expand the talent pool - Enhance the candidate experience to attract top talent - Embrace flexible working to meet candidate expectations - Leverage data and AI responsibly in the recruitment process - Double down on diversity, equity and inclusion efforts Organisations that proactively implement these strategies will be best positioned to navigate the talent challenges ahead. The detailed insights in the Eploy and Talos360 reports provide a roadmap for recruitment leaders looking to future-proof their talent acquisition in 2024 and beyond. What are your thoughts on the labour market trends and the actions needed to attract and retain talent in this market? Let me know in the comments! #TalentAcquisition #Recruitment #LabourMarket #CandidateExperience #FutureOfWork

The absolute stand out way to transform your TA function is to operate with a plan. Our customers operating with a plan and didn't change anything else in their hiring process DOUBLED their productivity. They didn't change a single other thing, than just focusing on getting a plan. It can't get any simpler than that. Plan.
