Here are the numbers: out-of-school children in Nigeria - 10.2 million at the primary level and 8.1 million at the junior secondary level (UNICEF ). The current economic crisis may push the figures up - With one in three children out of school, this crisis, I think extends beyond education. This has implications on water, sanitation, and hygiene. Children not enrolled in school often lack access to proper hygiene education that schools typically provide. This gap in knowledge and practice is connected to increased health risks and the spread of waterborne diseases. These children will eventually grow into adults with limited economic opportunities, they may struggle to afford clean water and adequate sanitation facilities for their families. This perpetuates a cycle of poor health and poverty. It is important to enroll children in schools and to integrate comprehensive #WASH education into both formal and informal learning settings. This could help break the cycle of poor #sanitation practices and improve overall public health.

Inform parents and students of changes as soon as possible and reassure them about the steps being taken to ensure continuity in learning. Conduct exit interviews to understand their reasons for leaving and seek feedback on how to improve the work environment. 7. Plan for the long term. Short-term fixes are necessary, but long-term planning is essential. Review your school's compensation and benefits package to ensure it’s competitive. How to be a Successful Author Over the past few weeks alone, we have delivered more than 15 different book titles for authors in different parts of Nigeria and a couple in Benin Republic, including submissions for NLNG prize for literature. One thing is consistent about all the authors we've worked with - Passion for impact. Publication 3 out of 50 was presented at the 39th Nigerian School Library Association (NSLA) Conference, where I addressed the theme “Fostering Inclusivity and Representation through the School Library.” The article stressed that representation is not a privilege but a fundamental right. In a diverse society, every perspective deserves acceptance and respect. However, stigmatization remains a significant barrier to creating an inclusive environment, despite Nigeria’s National Policy on Education advocating for inclusivity. The school library plays a critical role in addressing this stigma by providing access to assistive tools and resources that promote inclusivity. These resources help to bridge gaps, foster understanding, and create a supportive environment for all students. I have my reasons for supporting this leader and his two counterparts, in the West African sub region.. This is one one the reasons👇 The African continent can only be liberated from within. The idea of external interventions or solutions, though well-intentioned, is not enough to bring about lasting change in the continent. My viewpoint emphasizes these critical elements- 📌 Empowering African people, communities, and nations to take ownership of their development and destiny. 📌 Self-determination, Africans should define their own paths, priorities, and solutions as it suits their culture and communities. 📌 Addressing systemic issues, corruption, and inequality from within is really our only way out. Having said the above, external support and solidarity can still play a role in Africa, after all, the world 🌎 is now a global village. 📢 Amplifying African voices 📢 Advocating for global policy changes that represses the continent. Rape is not just a crime it is an egregious violation of human rights that has become alarmingly prevalent in Sierra Leone. It is disheartening to see how some men in our society have made this horrific act the order of the day, perpetuating a culture of fear, pain, and silence for countless women and girls. This piece is a call to action for the government, NGOs, and advocacy organizations dedicated to combating rape. We must strengthen our collective resolve to ensure that this crime is not tolerated, excused, or overlooked in any capacity. A man who rapes has no place in a decent society. Such actions erode the very fabric of our communities and leave lasting scars on survivors and their families. Justice must be swift, decisive, and uncompromising. Survivors must receive the support and resources they need to heal, while perpetrators face the full weight of the law. I urge the government to Enforce stricter penalties for perpetrators of rape. Provide better support systems for survivors, including counseling and legal aid. Invest in public education campaigns to challenge societal attitudes and promote respect for women and girls. NGOs and advocacy groups must continue their tireless efforts to raise awareness, provide safe spaces for survivors, and advocate for policy changes that prioritize the safety and dignity of all individuals. Let us stand united against rape. Together, we can create a society where such acts are not only condemned but eradicated, ensuring a safer, more respectful future for everyone.

I heard the word impostor syndrome for the very first time in 2023 from Dr Olumide Emmanuel. The day I heard it, I was delivered from fear. As much as everyone knew me as a great Professional, I actually had always questioned myself. I believed there were things I was worth and some that were definitely not for me. For one, I judged myself based on the failures I have had and never considered the successes. I wrote my institutes Professional examination five times!!. The GDE thrice and TPC twice. I didn't fail them because I didn't know what to write, but I failed because of fear. I would go into the examination hall with so much confidence and on receiving the question paper, would suddenly begin to fear and then I will experience blankness. This brought about a five year delay in my progression towards membership of the institute. For each examination failure, I never relented, I kept paying for the next diet. Until I became a registered member in 2019. This made me doubt myself so much and I would struggle to get anything done or take up high positions. Recently, that imposter syndrome came up again when I had to go for an interview and I immediately told myself,I am fully prepared and worthy of that position. These words geared me up and had the best interview ever in my professional life, with a job offer within three days!!. Imposter syndrome is a virus that must be stopped. Talking about UK educational Policy on News Central TV In recent years, Nigerians have increasingly chosen the student route to migrate abroad, driven by the promise of better educational opportunities, global exposure, and an escape from limited job prospects at home. For many, studying abroad offers a pathway to permanent residency or work opportunities in countries like the UK, Canada, and the US.  However, this pathway has become increasingly expensive, especially with the UK recently hiking tuition fees. Despite the cost, Nigerian students and families make significant sacrifices, viewing foreign education as a gateway to upward mobility and financial stability. Unfortunately, high fees are only part of the issue. With added visa requirements, housing, and living expenses, studying abroad is often a debt-ridden gamble for families.
