I met a prospective client who was complaining about not getting any results even though they kept paying monthly billings. I just asked for their GMB and website link. I looked at the GMB; everything looked normal there. Then I went straight to their website and opened 3-4 service pages. Without any other analysis, I could clearly see what the problem was. Well, the problem is, I searched their service names on Google to see the Google-suggested keywords for those specific services. and there are many potential keywords available. but I see none of the service pages are targeting those potential keywords. They just added the title directly without focusing on the keywords suggested by Google, and H titles are almost generic. Long-content, internal links are fine, but all those pages have no keywords that Google suggested for those services. Now tell me, is it really possible when your competitors are already focusing on the best and potential keywords and ranking at the top of the search, and you have no idea what keywords you're focusing on? Even some keywords aren't matching the user intent. So the first thing their SEO provider didn't do was analyze the keywords, and they're doing lots of backlinks, posts, and other activities while keep billing them. The client asked them why they don't see results, and the SEO provider answered: "You have some extra plugins on your website, and you have to remove them; then we will see the result." Holy cow, seriously???? And the client told me that's a very popular company; how can I doubt them? I just told him, someone's popularity isn't going to rank your keywords. Then I just took some screenshots and showed him what I see. Now he understands everything, and hopefully, we will onboard him this week (multi-location client).

If you’re sharing content on LinkedIn but not generating enough leads and enquiries this is for you... The content you’re writing is keeping you busy AF but not converting clients fast enough because it’s not designed to make your clients move – it just has them nod along. Do you really understand? Understanding clients’ needs is something everyone business needs to show they have a handle on. How many times have you called a company to make a complaint and the person on the other end of the phone says, “I understand” and you know very well they are pretty much programmed to say that. By the very tone of their voice, you are just another complainant of the list of calls that will come through on any given day. For this reason I make it my business to understand my clients needs and I prefer to show my understanding through action, rather than words. Pre-shoot I will have a consultation with clients to ascertain exactly what there are trying to achieve through discussing their ideas.  Armed with all the information I will proceed to show I understand the brief through execution. How are you DIFFERENT? This is a question EVERY content manager should be asking themselves when crafting a strategy! I used to try not to stray too far from the type of content I was seeing from other accounts within my niche... But here's why that's detrimental to your strategy - you blend in! Are you posting and posting and still not getting enough clients? There are only 2 root causes to this 👇 I know the feeling of frustration very well when you think about the huge amount of work you put into your business and.. that it's not even CLOSE to being worth the results that you are getting! What if I told you that you can we a few strategic tweaks away (and let's be honest, a lot of work) from getting more clients than you can handle And a life of location independent freedom OK, so solving any problem is first about understanding the problem The reason you are not getting good enough results in your business usually come from the following 2 core reasons: 1. Your marketing & sales is not effective enough: • Your niche • Your positioning • Your ideal client profile • Your value description • Your packaging • Your sales process • Your pain/desire description • Your obstacle handling • Your sales journey strategy • Your marketing & sales knowledge • etc. 2. Not enough people see your posts • this one is pretty self-explanatory 😂 The cool thing is that you can test both of them! to understand what you need to work on (many times both) and go from from hopping around trying things out without a plan and instead, like a mature business owner, improve the things you already have in your business a little bit all the time, making it stronger and stronger (this secret right here is something I usuallly only share with private clients paying me thousands of euros) 👇 You need to go from starting and stopping to iterating your business in order to move forward I have done this mistake more than once! until I learned. What is the absolute simplest thing you can do now, today? to make progress on that one thing - you know the thing. You need more new clients or to sack a few clients or to reprice all your services Or hire another team member or fix your onboarding system or whatever it is And when you think about it you get overwhelmed. After all there’s so much to DO. To get new leads you need a lead generation asset. Which means strategy and identifying the audience and then getting the content written and the PDF guide designed and put it on a website page with a lead form and oh! automated emails which get sent when they download it which reminds you, social media posts too… …so naturally you do none of that because by now your head hurts and you have seventeen new emails and a pile of WhatsApp messages from clients. But here’s the thing: there will be something very, very small you could do today. Now, even. For example, I guarantee you there are some old leads who never signed up three months ago, six months ago, a year ago. You figured “if they were really interested they’d get in touch”, and forgot all about them. What if you dropped a quick email or message to five of those? Something like this: “Hey - was just thinking about you and I know we never ended up going ahead back in [whenever it was]. How are you going? Did you still need help with [that thing we talked about]?” That’s literally it. Absolute worst case, they reply to say “we are all set leave me alone bye”. In which case you’ve spent about thirty seconds, and you can say no worries, hope it goes great, here’s a blog [or some kind of content] we wrote recently which you might like! Bye! But best case they say “actually thanks for getting in touch - I was wondering….” Give it a try! I’d love to hear how you go. You can still build the whole complex amazing lead gen system when you have the headspace to do it. But for now… …minimum viable. Got this email enquiry on my parents website. Does anyone else get really pissed off when marketing companies email you with scare mongering tactics in order to get your business? My response wasn't something I'd share here. For the record, the website ranks 3rd for "wooden bear carvings" in the UK and ranks for over 100 other keywords.
